Manchester City's Leroy Sane is down with a serious injury

The summer break and pre-season hasn't exactly been superb for Manchester City and Germany winger, Leroy Sane.

From having bids from Bayern Munich for his services being rejected by City; to having bit-part roles during Manchester City's pre-season formalities - the soon-to-commence Premier League season is only about to get dreary for the German International.

It has been revealed that the 23-year old Manchester City winger, will have surgery in the next week to repair damage to the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee, which he suffered in last weekend's Community Shield match., against Liverpool.

With such an injury blow coming even before the commencement of the new Premier League season; one can only wonder how the season would turn out for the brilliant 23-year old German star.
