Hello everyone and welcome to this month’s Your Top 3 Contest DPoll where we ask you, the people of Steem, to decide what your favourites are for our monthly topic.
The Topic For This Round Is…Holiday Movies
What Is The Top 3 Contest DPoll All About?
At the beginning of each month, we ask people to choose 3 of their favourite Holiday Movies and write a bit as to why it is their favourite. We then took all of those nominations from this month and have it listed on our dpoll ready for the voting to take place.
But we need your help in deciding the most popular choices. The choices with the highest votes will be given points. The point system will determine the amount of the prize pool to be won based on placing 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
Cast your vote below within the 7 day polling window. Please don’t forget to RESTEEM this post and tell all your friends to vote, especially if you are a contestant, more votes means more chances of winning! Once the results are in, we will announce the winner soon after.

The criteria for voting eligibility is as follows: Min Account Age - 14 days, Min Posts - 30, and has posted within the last 30 days, Min Rep - 40, Min SP - 25.
You can choose to vote as many nominations as you would like but we have a rule:

Even though I hate - yes, hate - festive movies, I did enjoy Nightmare Before Christmas.
And Edward Scissorhands.... what's not to like about that one? I just didn't realize it was a festive movie, lol
Hey! Happy a few appealed to you! ;) Might be a little stretch on the Edward Scissorhands, but it does partially take place during the holidays so there's some festive moments.

So many good movies to choose from but I gave my votes to the Original Grinch movie (1966) as it panned the way for the others. Home Alone because to this day it makes me laugh out loud. Charlie Brown due to how closely his Christmas tree resembles mine. Scrooged as it still holds up to this day and Gremlins because Gizmo.

Here we go, thought I could feel my top 3 senses tingling with the Champ stepping up to vote here! I think it's safe to say that Home Alone will be running away with it this month, a strong start at least. Can you hold on for another month and end 2019 on a high?

I just can't believe nobody else voted for it. I suppose I should be thankful that no one voted for National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. Perhaps there is some hope for the world after all;)
Well, the post is young and we'll splash a bit of SBD to promote it so more people have a chance of seeing it and who knows, maybe "It's a Wonderful Life" will start making inroads!
Funnily enough, two people that entered the contest chose National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation so I wouldn't get your hopes up too high just yet haha!

Believe it or not, I actually did start doing a post for this month's competition, but the "powers-that-be" (you see what I did?) had other ideas.... That said, the 1938 edition of A Christmas Carol would have featured. As would Julie Andrews - but not in a film. My third selection: I've not seen the film, but it's on my list of "to sees". Thanks to @tryskele... :D

I'm voting for the three I chose - White Christmas, It's a Wonderful Life and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer because they are all so full of heart and goodness! And I also added A Charlie Brown Christmas, which is one of the best movies of all time.
