Atlanta takes on Milwaukee on 6/23/2021 at 8:30PM.

The Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks face off in an important game for both teams. Atlanta has a record of 41-31 this regular season. Milwaukee is 46-26 this regular season. Both have players to meet and know.

Atlanta Team Defense Preview

William Hill... Yeah, we call him "Will Hill" cause he is cool, it rhymes, he gives you a $250 bonus and he has the best line Against the Spread with Milwaukee with payout odds set -7 -110. Now that is cool, jump on it.
You should not have high expectations considering their defensive efficiency is 113.3, but relatively speaking it is still a rather average defense. Now that we know what the overall defense looks like, it is time to understand why this defense is the way it is.
This is a decent defensive team that is able to force some bad shots. They are quite average in their ability to keep opponents from scoring at the rim. It is tougher to score at the rim against their defense than much of the NBA.
Sometimes defenses are very focused on forcing bad shots and getting the defensive rebound. Is there anything to support this? It may be just possible that this is a passive defense.

Atlanta Team Offense Preview

You should not have high expectations considering their offensive efficiency is 115.7, but relatively speaking it is still a slightly above-average offense. This analysis would be woefully incomplete without going into further detail aside from just an offensive efficiency rating. This is a slower than average team when it comes to the pace of play.
Their True Shooting Percentage is .581 which considered to be slightly above average. Their Effective Field Goal Rate is .539, which considered to be slightly above average. They attempt .382 of their shots from three point range. They take threes less often than many in the NBA. They made .373 of their shots from three point range. They are a slightly above average three point shooting team. They made .812 of their shots from the Free Throw Line. They are an above average Free Throw shooting team.
They rebounded 24.4% of their missed shots. This is an above average offensive rebounding team.

Milwaukee Team Defense Preview

Their defensive efficiency is 111.4, which means they have an above average defense relative to other teams in the NBA. This analysis would be woefully incomplete without going into further detail aside from just a defensive efficiency rating.
This is a decent defensive team that is able to force some bad shots. Their ability to keep opponents from scoring at the rim is among the best in the NBA. It is tougher to score at the rim against their defense than much of the NBA.
This is not a team that excels at forcing live ball turnovers. Either the personnel or strategy is not there.

Milwaukee Team Offense Preview

If you want to skip ahead and get the best Moneyline play right now it is Milwaukee -300 with William Hill. William Hill has been around since 1934 and they are offering up to $250 to newcomers. Put William Hill into your sportsbook rotation so that you can line shop and improve your profitability.
Getting excited about an offensive efficiency of 117.2 is going a bit overboard with an above-average offense. And nothing more than that. Now that we know what the overall offense looks like, it is time to understand why this offense is the way it is. They play a pace that is considered faster than average, but this is not a team that is having a track meet.
Their True Shooting Percentage is .593 which considered to be above average. Their Effective Field Goal Rate is .566, which considered to be above average. They attempt .404 of their shots from three point range. They fall right around average in the NBA. They made .389 of their shots from three point range. They are an above average three point shooting team. They made .760 of their shots from the Free Throw Line. They would be considered below average from the charity stripe.
They successfully retrieved 23.3% of their missed shots. They are a slightly above average rebounding team.

The Atlanta Roster

The Players to Watch for Atlanta
Kevin Huerter 6-7 190 SG
He is a general rotation player on this team. Nothing too special thus far.
He does not attack the rim as much as he should. There is nothing special regarding his shot selection on the perimeter. In man-to-man defense, playing fairly standard defense against him on the perimeter is advisable. In the NBA, he would be considered one of the more passive offensive players and he is almost exclusively a jump shooter. He is a generally average Free Throw Shooter.
He is an average distributor in this offense. He has done a better job than most protecting the basketball. He could be a better offensive rebounder, but he has not put it together yet this season.
Trae Young 6-1 180 PG
He is a positive impactful starter who makes an impact for this team.

Getting to the Free Throw Line is an important part of his game. He is a generally average Free Throw Shooter.
One of the best distributors in the NBA, he sets up his teammates like few others. He does not turn it over more or less than anyone. He could be a better offensive rebounder, but he has not put it together yet this season.
Clint Capela 6-10 240 C
He is a positive impactful starter who makes an impact for this team.
He is one of the leaders in the NBA in his ability to get scoring attempts at the rim. Shooting three point shots is either a rarity or it never happens, he gets his work done in the paint. He is an above average three point shooter who must be respected. He does not do the things he needs to do to get himself to the Free Throw Line consistently. Fouling him is probably better than letting him get two points on a drive or post-up. The Free Throw Line is an adventure for him and everyone is there to watch.
He is either a ballhog, does not play enough minutes or he is not supposed to be distributing the ball. He has done a better job than most protecting the basketball.Opponents need to be aware of his ability to grab offensive rebounds and find a way to neutralize it.

He sets up his teammates in an above-average fashion. He does not turn it over more or less than anyone. He could be a better offensive rebounder, but he has not put it together yet this season.
Giannis Antetokounmpo 6-11 242 PF
He is an MVP candidate this season and a player you must know.
There is nothing special regarding his shot selection inside the perimeter. He is not considered a frequent three point shooter. He is a below average three point shooter. I also predict a high scoring game, but this Bucks team will be ready to pounce on these Hawks and I think that we will see even more of a blowout in the end than you have predicted!

If you see a score differential that is close to the line, consider that a low confidence level. The best play is the OVER.

@jreilly99 There's NO SHAME in playing a -300 ML. None. Don't be afraid of being judged for that by others, what matters is your bankroll.
