A great striker retires after two decades scoring goals

Samuel Eto'o is retiring from professional football after scoring more that three hundred goals (man such a figure!!). This event brings me back to the day when I feel in love with the European National championships.

I started watching football back in 1999, on that time I liked to watch the Italian and the Spanish championship. My favorite teams back there were the Italians, since they practiced a very intense football, a style full of strategy and space coverage.

Later on I started to follow more closely the Spanish championship, and among them the great short passing style of FC Barcelona caught my attention, it was a hard team to be fan of since they were not a winning team... But I loved their game proposal and backed them even when they got bested even by small clubs.

On that time there was a promising striker in the biggest rival of FC Barcelona squad, but the Real Madrid is a club that not only pay attention to talent in order to measure a player's worth... That's a decision they will regret later on😂

Then the Real Madrid decided to sell 50% of the federative rights of Eto'o to RCD Mallorca, on that club Eto'o won a Copa del Rey Championship, he scored 54 goals becoming the top scorer of RCD Mallorca in La Liga.

Then he signed a contract with my beloved FC Barcelona in 2004.... The year when FC Barcelona was reborn into a fearsome club that each campaign fights for every title on the table. Here Eto'o gave us sublime goals and I want to share with you a video with some of them.

Later on FC Barcelona also sold him and he made us feel sorry of that decision as well🤣🤣 He was part of the squad lead by Mourinho in the Internazionale di Milano who wiped out Barcelona from the Champions League on 2010. On that year he also becomed the first player in the world able to score in seven different official tournaments on the same year😮😮

Later he was transferred to a Russian club that made him the best payed football player in the world. Then he moved to the English Premier League, first to the Chelsea and then to the Everton.

His last competitive tournament was Italy, he played with Sampdoria...later on he went to Antalyaspor and his last club was Qatar SC 🤑🤑🤑

I really liked his personality on the pitch, he was a winner who played giving it's best in each match. I was luck to. Witness almost all his career, I will miss his amazing skill on the pitch.

Saludos
