Even though Steem is undergoing some turmoil life will go on and I will keep running. @exhaust is still working for now and I will keep posting as long as I feel it is worthwhile. It is not just about the money.

Someone at my work has set up an endurance sports club. One thing they are doing is a monthly 5km handicap run. Today's run was to review the route which is an out and back with no road crossings. The #Stevenage cycle paths and underpasses make that possible.

There were five of us running. We took a fairly gentle pace as one of them is fairly new to running. I think he actually got a PB. Some of those younger guys are a lot quicker than me. We had a bit of a chat as we went along. When we reached the furthest point one of them took off for a longer run whilst the rest of us headed back. The quicker ones took off, but I was happy to hang back. I was lacking a little in energy. I will aim to get in some more runs this week.

This takes me past 200km for the year.

You have uploaded 100 running activities, and 18 of them have been of similar distances (within 10 percent)!
Here are your 5-fastest running activities of a similar distance:

Over these 18 similar activities, you have travelled approximately 93.25 kms at an average pace of roughly 5:17 min/km!
Your latest run was at a pace of approximately 5.681min/km!
Looks like you went a bit slower this time! Remember that it's important to take some rest days, and do some rehab / prehab / strength and conditioning training too! If you weren't intending to go slower, take a moment to listen to your body, and see if you need something. Check in with yourself!

What is a PB? I am in the dark. Nice run though. That is awesome that you didn't have to cross any roads.

Personal best. You can run a fair way there without crossing a road, but you have to look out for bike, motorscooters and maintenance vehicles as well as pedestrians.

Ah, okay. Usually people on bikes yell out "on the left" or "on the right" or "coming behind" over here. I would have been guessing for days and never would have gotten personal best :)

There are footpaths, but I try to at least keep to one side of the cycle bits. I use earphones, but I only use those that let me hear what is going on around me. I have considered getting some that use bone conduction rather than going in your ears. I need to be aware of my surroundings.

It is and I hope it will keep working for a while yet. Steem is not dead yet. Maybe Justin will just sell his Steem and leave as he has lost half the workforce and his control.

We're indeed back for now. May as well keep plugging away.

With all the drama, I figured a good run would clear my head -- made me decide to get things rolling again and get out for a run. ;)
