Footbags from a different world: Offset

The Offset is composed of 92 panels: 12 pentagons and 80 triangles. It's a pretty unusual design for sphere construction as each pentagon is offset or slightly turned as you go along.

A better way to illustrate the "offset" nature of this design is to show you a similar bag with 32 panels that's colored differently and made by my friend Bart. You can see that surrounding each pentagon are triangles that extend past their edge of the pentagon. (In the bag I made, that larger triangle extending over is broken into four smaller triangles.) The triangles then determine where the next pentagon will sit, and rather than sitting directly opposite from the other pentagons, each pentagon is slightly offset from the others.

This bag has too many panels to be a good freestyle bag. The 92 panel in the photographs is very firm, so not good for stalling. As you can see, it holds its spherical shape and doesn't collapse down with gravity.
