Newcastle United 0 : 1 Arsenal

With all the signings Arsenal made, the first game in the season startup line was a bit blah. Ozil and Kolosinac not traveling because of the safety issues, all the new signings not fit enough, Lacazette not fully fit, Torreira (got from vacation few days ago? :) ).

Defense oddly enough looked decent with Chambers and Sokratis.

Xhaka did not create any 100% chances for Newcastle so he played great.

Mkhitaryan forgot how to play football and is unbelievable that he stayed on the pitch for more than 80 minutes. With 38% of duels won, and 73% of passing accuracy, most of the time when you noticed that he is on the pitch it was when he did something wrong. Only thing good was a pass for Aubameyang for the goal scoring opportunity in the first half.

Aubameyang looks fit and ready to play, and if he keeps up he will be easy on the 20+ goals this season.

Ceballos, Pepe and Martinelli got some minutes in the second half, but we did not see nothing from them yet.

Overall if you missed the game, you did not miss a thing. It was a boring game decided with a defensive error and a great skill of Aubameyang.
