It was an easy win for Spurs in Munich. Poch fielded a pretty strong team.
with Serge Aurier, Eric Dier, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Ben Davies and Victor Wanyama the only major absentees. Point to note, Danny Rose started and played bloody well too. I am a fan of Danny and really hope he stays. They did not bring Danny to Singapore but all of a sudden he was part of the squad to play the Audi Cup. Poch was a bit nettley in his press conference when asked about Rose.
I am only the coach. was his reply. But maybe this was a sign that he is a bit pissed off with the lack of transfer activity so fat at Tottenham.
Can Poch sign a better player than Rose in the transfer window. Not a chance in my opinion.
The Germans love their football and they loved watching these two go head to head. Spurs looked slicker and fitter than Madrid and it was telling. Madrid were shoddy and lacked that killer instinct. Kane got the goal in the first half which was enough to send them into the final against Munich today. Kane got a standing ovation when he came off in the 65th minute and man of the match.
The Germans know great players.

Eden Hazard looked like he ate too many pies during the summer and he was nowhere near as sharp as he was for Chelsea. It will take the Belgian a couple of weeks to lose the holiday weight.

I am being a bit hard on Madrid. They played better in the second half. But If Gareth Bale cannot get his place with this side then there is something wrong. Zidane is in trouble this season. His team need fresh blood. They need a swagger since Ronaldo left. Is it any wonder that Zidane wants Pogba? I hate to say it but I think Pogba may do better down in Madrid with Zidane if he plays him in his proper position. They need something and fast or it will be another disaster of a year at the club that moves so quickly.

Spurs vs Bayern kicks off tonight at 7.45pm. The match will be on ITV4.

Undoubtedly pissed off with the lack of activity and probably pretty annoyed about getting asked the same question over and over again.

I only got home to watch the 2nd half so didn't see Rose play. I thought Skipp had a decent 45mins. In my mind he's a better player than Eric Dier is in that holding position. Tanganga also looks like a good prospect at CB, certainly a lot better than Carter-Vickers who just looks like a lump!

If Utd came in for Dier offering 60 million or more they should bite their hand off. He is a liability . Yeah I worried about Skipp last season but he seems to be soing ok. TANGANGA looks the business
