Aston Villa 5 - 0 Liverpool | Shocked and Surprised

skynews

Since I enabled google sending me match reports most specifically in NBA and football matches, I was shocked a few hours ago how Aston Villa managed to demolish Liverpool 5-0 in their encounter. Like what? Seriously?

Then only to find out that Jurgen Klopp deployed their young talents. I was surprised, like what? I think this is my first time to see Liverpool giving it all out for their young talents. Take note, its FA League Cup and it's some good silverware to earn if you focus. In fact, Arsenal fans are contented before winning Community Shield every year :X.

The 5-0 loss was understandable and something remarkable for Liverpool community. Aston Villa is a top Championship club last year and joining the Premier League isn't exactly new to them. They have the experience and momentum and 5-0 is a big confidence booster for them being currently placed 17th in the Premier League standings, just 1 high above the relegation zone.

I find it funny because Liverpool has established their position in the past 3 years under Jurgen Klopp and seeing news like this (incomplete information) is really shocking.

How about you? Have you seen the match result? We're you surprised? Or before you judged the result, you did seek to see the line up too right?

It was a strange decision from Kloop, the youngest team (average players age was 19), still they all were motivated and performed till end.

After having 4 goals in 1st half, they didn't lost hope and struggled enough to get any further goals (though got 1 goal in 2nd half).

I like the spirit of every players of Liverpool and hope and exited to see great show from these younger players in future

This is a matter of setting priorities. Klopp is more concerned with the World Club Cup, and since you can't have it all, and so as not to lose focus on the league and not to wear his players out, he decided to leave the FA league cup to chance. For me I think it's worth giving up. They're likely to come back from Doha with a more prestigious trophy. I was not surprised with the result bcos I knew beforehand that the team B would play it and I also followed the live proceedings from the pitch as the goals kept hitting the net.
