Two new faces and an old one join LEEDS UNITED

So finally a few 'ins' announced today but not really much to shout about although interest is piqued. Regardless, let's have a look at who we have signed.

Jack Harrison - Loan from Manchester City

That's right, the very same Jack Harrison that spent last season with us and whilst he did OK, didn't really light the place up as such a highly regarded Man City player should have. Before signing up for the whole season at Leeds, he signed a contract extension agreement at City which keeps him there until 2022. I do find these long term loans rather odd but do understand the economics behind them but it does appear little more than financial manipulation to escape the wrath of financial fair-play rules.

A solid signing and perhaps last seasons experience will stand him in better stead for the new season. He obviously likes Leeds so best of luck to him for a more consistently better 2019/2020.

Liam McCarron - Permanent (undisclosed) from Carlisle United

Still to start shaving but about to pull on the famous white shirt!

Well, this came in from nowhere. He wasn't anyone I'd seen touted as a possible amidst all the recent rumours so I've had to read up on him!
Seems he's a winger and just 18 years old and rose to prominence last year making 2 starts for Carlisle after coming through their youth ranks. Reports say he has pace by the bucketload and was being courted by a number of other Premiership and Championship clubs, although that's what they would say!

Taken on for our all-conquering development squad with the intention of promoting him swiftly to the first team squad, we will watch his progress closely. Either way, he is now Leeds and that's all that matters.

Ben White - Loan from Brighton

Another youngster who has signed a one-year contract extension at his home club before joining Leeds on a season-long loan. This is a 'highly-rated' defender who spent the last season and a half on loan at Newport County and Peterborough United. I will try not to get too excited! The Championship obviously a step-up in class and it says something of the way he is thought at Brighton that they wish to keep him on their books.

Coming to Leeds is actually a huge step up from Brighton despite their Premier League status so let's hope he can perform in front of a much bigger and more vociferous crowd than he has ever seen before.

Welcome Ben, you are Leeds now, respect the shirt and best wishes.

Of course, the expected arrival of Helda Costa on loan from Wolves and the official announcement of Jack Clarke joining Spurs before loaned back to us haven't yet materialised but at least we have some news to pour over and study the infinite permutations of!!

Interesting signings but not sure how this season will go. Not keen on the manager. Went to a fair few games last year and it's the crowd that gets those players going. Leeds dropped badly after the bullshit 'spygate' and the result at the end of the season against 10 man relagated Ipswich was a joke not to mention the playoffs lets not go there. Should have dragged in Lee Bowyer when he was having his issues at Charlton. Leeds will not go up with grandad in charge hope im wrong but will have a bet on it
