The continue as the commencement of the new Nigeria Professional Football League season has once again been postponed till 3rd of November 2019 for the commencement of the 2019/2020 NPFL season. As a matter of fact, this is not the first time where the league has been postponed on two other occasions, not even the intervention of the Honorable minister could safe the initially agreed date of October 19th.

It however believed that the new date will not suffered a major blow as other previous dates that could not see the light of the day due to differences from stake holders who are hell bend to say no to the October 19th date. The outcome of the meeting held last night in the capital city of Nigeria shows that the draw from the league was as well released to the to signal the possibility of the league kicking off as schedule for November 3rd 2019.

If all things works according to plan, the league will reverse back to the original 20 teams league in a single log unlike the group format league that was conducted last season which saw the teams been divided into two groups of A and B. This time around each club side will play a total number of 38 matches on home and away format to determine who will be crowned the champions of Nigeria Professional Football League 2019/2020 season.

In some of the matches slated for week one are; Wikki Tourist of Bauchi making a return to the top flight of Nigeria football will host fellow newcomer in Jigawaw Stars, Plateau United will take on former champions Lobi Stars of Makurdi. Delta Force versus Akwa Starlets in another debutants match. Kano Pillar will take on Rivers United while the match between Hearland of Owerri and MFM FC will see the former Manager of MFM of Lagos hosting his old club in Owerri.
