Why Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Unai Emery will end up getting sacked by their respective clubs?

I should have published this post before the season started but decided to look if things will change. Unfortunately, nothing has changed with Solskjaer and Emery.

Most Manchester united fans saw Solskjaer as the next Zidane or Ferguson when he was employed. They started dreaming of winning trebles, quadruples with him. I always remind them that Solskjaer only created a friendly atmosphere in the dressing room. That was the magic and everyone started playing to full capacity. He reinstated Paul Pogba back in the team and the winning streak started. They had a bit of luck in matches against Westham and Tottenham. You don’t rely on luck throughout, it will exhaust one day. The luck ended with the Arsenal 2-0 defeat and they have now gone 15 games with just 3 of them won.

Their match against Crystal Palace and Wolves exposed their weakness. They don’t have any game changer on the bench. The team is currently losing 1-0 and you need someone to change the game, someone to do the magic. You see the likes of Greenwood, Tahith Chong, and Angel Gomes as backups. Letting Lukaku go without an actual replacement is a very poor piece of business. The team is poor in terms of quality and the manager is inept.

If Manchester united continue like this which I believe they will, Solskjaer will be sacked before January. He is only relying on individual brilliance of some of his players rather than his tactical prowess. That won’t get you far especially in the Premier League. You can try that in the Spanish La liga where they only have 2-3 true contenders or the French Ligue 1 where Psg is dominating. The English Premier league is competitive and there is no small team as displayed in the Norwich match against Chelsea. They have only played 3 matches and already recorded a loss at home against Crystal Palace. I think they may end up winning less than 20 matches in the league this season. This season is already a failure for them as they are not going to make the top four and if they Solskjaer is not sacked, they may miss out on the Europa League.

Arsenal

I never liked the idea of Unai Emery as Arsenal Manager. I disliked him immediately after the Barcelona comeback against PSG. You already won 4-0 against Barcelona and you went to Camp Nou to lose 6-1. That is nonsense and if I was Nasser Al-Khelaifi, he will be sacked immediately.

Arsenal had the chance to go for Allegri who would have help solved Arsenal defensive issues but decided to go for the Spaniard. His first one-on-one interview as Arsenal manager saw him saying he prefer to win 5-4 than win 1-0. I knew Arsenal are in for it this time. The statement reflected last season as Arsenal kept only one cleansheet in 19 away matches. They conceded 51 goals in the league which is very poor. The same has started this season.

You see people supporting his attacking mindset and they keep saying The best form of defense is to attack.

They forgot that Attack win matches but solid defense win titles. Arsenal scored 73 goals in the league last season which is surpassed only by Liverpool and Manchester city 95 goals. What about the defense? Unai Emery clearly need to work on the defense if he hope to see out his contract at Arsenal. The rate at which Arsenal concede unnecessary goals is alarming. A Kasper Schmeichel goal kick has been converted by Jamie Vardy with both Sokratis and Koscielny failing to deal with the goal kick. That shows how poor the defense is.

A poor finishing in the league this season and absence of any silverware will see his post under threat which may lead to his Sack.

I agree with you as United look as though they are going to pay for not refreshing their squad this season. There are only 3 or 4 players that should remain and they haven't really done much by selling the obvious. Having a friendly dressing room will change very quickly once results start going against you. I always saw it as a 4 or 5 year process to rebuild the team and they have lost another season already as no one does much in January with the transfer market unless you are desperate.

Exactly. They failed to sell the deadlegs in the team. The likes of Rojo, Smalling, Darmian, Young and so on are still on their books. They are having like 10 defenders already. They will pay dearly for their lack of activities in the transfer market and of course, no team will want to sell her best player in January.

I think Ole will be sacked before the season is over they're too thin upfont and even with the new recruits their defence isn't that much better, they also have the issue of getting the best out of Pogba and to be honest I think they better off shipping him on and building their team around someone else

As for Unai, I think he will still get another season, Arsenal are pretty forgiving and they're willing to sit in 4th or close by as long as they make their money. He still needs another window or 2 to really sure up their squad.

I also don't think Unai will go because very few managers better than him would come in and work with budget he has, we already saw Arteta turn down the job because of limited funding.
