God speaks to us through His Word (2 Timothy 3: 16-17). The text in Isaiah 55:11 tells us: "This is my word, which comes out of my mouth, it does not return me in vain, but it does what pleases me, and does what I sent it." The Bible contains God's words for us regarding everything we need to know to receive salvation and live a Christian life.
God speaks through sensations, events and thoughts. God helps us distinguish good from evil with the help of our conscience (1 Timothy 1: 5; 1 Peter 3:16).
God establishes our minds to understand his will (Romans 12: 2). Let events happen in our lives to guide us, change us and help us grow spiritually (James 1: 2-5; Hebrews 12: 5-11).
