Speculation the future of Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale continues to blow. The Welshman has expressed his desire to stay in the Spanish capital, but his name is associated with a move to another club, one of which is from Major League Soccer (MLS).

Madrid management put the 30-year-old from Cardiff on the sale list. The offer was given to one of the top US clubs. However, the proposal failed.

MLS clubs now have a tendency to no longer pursue European stars who have entered retirement age by offering them large salaries. This is considered to affect Bale's move.

Clubs no longer want to waste $ 7 million a year on a player who is no longer potential like Bale. Nowadays, MLS clubs are more rational in attracting players who can return investment funds or provide profits. Plus the Covid-19 pandemic made MLS clubs more efficient at shopping.

Bale receives a net salary of around 14.5 million euros (Rp 233 billion) per year, and that will be a major obstacle to moving to the US. However, the move to MLS cannot be ruled out, especially with the latest comments from players and agents, although it may not have happened at this time.
