British Culture Minister Oliver Dowden said the British Government plans to distribute broadcasts of a number of football matches to free channels. This policy was carried out when domestic competition continued after being suspended since March due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

According to Dowden, broadcast rights holders remain respected, but there are loopholes in the rules that have forbidden free channels from broadcasting matches on Saturday afternoon in order to encourage supporters to the stadium which in the current situation is no longer relevant

The majority of Premier League broadcasting rights are currently owned by Sky, which is under the ownership of Comcast, and BT Sport. Meanwhile, Amazon also has several parts in it

Sky also has broadcast rights for the second to fourth strata competitions as well as the Scottish Premier League, which has been terminated

Premier League clubs this week have started training again in small groups at team facilities despite six positive cases of Covid-19 found among 748 samples tested. The Premier League is aiming for June as a time to continue the 2019/2020 season competition.
