The current condition of Barcelona

Barcelona is like being hit by a storm. Lionel Messi and friends find it difficult to win on the field, even if the club wants to go bankrupt if it doesn't cut the salaries of its players. Most recently, Barcelona visited the Mendizorrotza Stadium, Alaves' headquarters on Sunday (1/11/2020) early morning WIB in the Spanish League continued. Barcelona can only draw 1-1 and only take home one point. Barcelona haven't won in the Spanish league in the last four games! In detail, Barcelona drew with Sevilla (1-1), defeated Getafe (0-1), defeated Real Madrid (1-3), and were held to a draw by Alaves (1-1). Of the 12 points that can be obtained, the Blaugrana only gets two points! As a result, Barcelona's position in the Spanish League standings is temporarily stuck. They are currently ranked 12th with eight points from two wins, two draws and two defeats.

There are also internal problems at the club. Barcelona overshadowed bankruptcy! Barcelona is facing a precarious financial situation, because of the Corona pandemic. Barcelona must cut the salaries of its players again or face the threat of bankruptcy in January 2021. Already a few weeks ago, the club had planned a salary cut of 30 percent to 70 percent. Inevitably Barcelona must be able to reduce the player's salary expenditure which reaches 190 million euros (around Rp. 3.2 trillion) by November 5, or risk being declared bankrupt in January next year. However, the problem of cutting wages was opposed by the Barcelona players. They have even filed an objection by sending a burofax to former club president Josep Maria Bartomeu. As a result, the issue of cutting wages is still a drag. In fact, in the transfer market last summer, Barcelona did not bring in many new players at 'wow' prices.

Threatened Bankruptcy

Barcelona is threatened with bankruptcy if it doesn't cut the salaries of its players. So, the Blaugrana rumors of wanting to sign Neymar also don't seem to come true. Barcelona is hit by a precarious financial condition, because of this Corona pandemic. Revenue from sponsors is reduced, which, unfortunately, the club's balance sheet is also threatened. One of the ways to save Barcelona's finances is to cut the salaries of the players again. Like it or not, now Barcelona must be able to reduce the player's salary expenditure which reaches 190 million euros (around Rp. 3.2 trillion) by November 5, or risk being declared bankrupt in January next year.

again Barcelona's financial difficulties will affect their shopping activities. In the transfer market last summer, Barcelona didn't spend much on players. In fact, the issue of Barcelona repatriating his player, Neymar from PSG, was flowing so fast. No doubt, Neymar can be prepared to be the next Lionel Messi (Messi's contract will expire in the summer of 2021). Neymar has recorded a sweet story in his Barcelona uniform from 2013 to 2017. Two times the Laliga champion, three times the Copa Del Rey, and once presented the Champions League. Neymar made 186 appearances in all competitions for Barcelona. With a score of 105 goals and 76 assists. Neymar was then brought in by PSG in 2017 at an exorbitant price. The Brazilian player was redeemed for 222 million euros or the equivalent of Rp. 3.7 trillion. Neymar's contract will expire in 2022. But so far, Neymar has shown no signs of contract extension. PSG also plans to provide another five-year contract extension. But yes, that was before, Neymar wasn't interested.
