I just watched Messi finally receive his first major trophy with Argentina national team. I hope that will shut up the last few critics who didn't think he was one of the greatest, if not the greatest footballer of all time.
Argentina won the Copa America final against Brazil, with just one single goal by Di Maria, early in the game. I haven't watched the game though. Anybody saw it, how was it?
Also Couldn't see the match. Really emotional it must have been for Messi and the Argentine players having to finally lay hold of the precious Copa America trophy after a long wait. Congratulations to them
Yeah, I just arrived and switched on the TV a few minutes after the game, while they were waiting for the medals and trophy of course, Messi and a few others did seem more emotional than it can usually be. Happy for them
Yeah. A really joyous day it must be for them. Consistency truly pays. They didn't keep trying after so many disappointments and failures. This a story that ended so well. They should make a documentary about it :-)
It's really a tough fight. Brazil had 5 strikers on the field in 2nd half to find the goal. Brazil had some really good chances but they missed them all.
Then Argentina deserved to win the game.
ok, thanks for the quick summary. I might try and find a replay sometime tomorrow or Monday. Even if I know the results, that might be a good background while I do other things.
Messi for the first time collected cup for his country. This will make him so happy because he has been fighting to win one. It's so nice and this will make him ahead in some areas
He will be happy indeed mate... collecting unique Cup for the first time is not a easy task. He is so glad and this will make him ahead in some other football career.
I'm so sure that Messi is going to be overjoyed after receiving the trophy. This is what many have tried but failed. He has also tried but failed many times.

Yes I'm so happy for Messi for taken the cup home, is been 28yrs since Argentina won Copa America.
Hopefully this will clear the criticism against Messi as Argentina won Copa America and he also won highest goal scorers in the tournament.
Best passer as well I believe with 5 assists. Overall, it was a great tournament for him. Like I already said, he really looked motivated, concerned and involved.
I didn't see it either but I think its nice to see Messi get some recognition for the national team.
In Tour de France today, the route had several decent hills, and Mollema was the fastest. He wins it with about 1 minute lead on the first group behind him. In the general classification, Pogacar still comfortable leader, but Martin leaps to second place.
Tomorrow still in the Pyrenees, with the finish in Andorre. 4 climbs on the route, let's see if Pogacar gets attacked a bit.
Busy weekend with 3 final matches: Copa America, Wimbledon and Euro2020.

Yeah. Indeed a special week for sports. One down, two to go. Can't wait for the Djokovic v Berrettini final match and the England v Italy game.
Expect Novak to see off Berrettini but don't expect it to be easy. Would also like the Italians to claim this playing despite all odds. May the better play and team smile at the end of the day.
I'm not a fan of Novak but the truth is very hard to find anyone can beat Novak at this time.
However, I still look for a miracle tonight :)
The Serbian is unstoppable in his good days. Berrettini will have to do something extraordinary to upset Djokovic if he aims to clinch the title

Yeah! From my point of view I think Italy should have that luck to win the euro 2020 but football somehow crazy. So good luck to the team that get it
And game 3 of the NBA Finals! And a nice mountain stage in Tour de France. Too many choices! Luckily, none of the events are at the same time, that gives us a chance to catch most of them (although like I already said, I missed the Copa America final)
I also hope for a miracle in Wimbledon. I'll watch the highlights when I wake up.

The NBA game is always hard to predict as anybody can win. What do you think about it?
I think the Bucks can win this one after the first 2 losses. But with Chris Paul, everything can happen, he's just been so good.
I haven't really have much time for the NBA finals because both the Lakers and Clippers got kicked out. I didn't really have as much interest but I should probably make some time for it.

It is now full 90min of the game between Italy and England and it ended Italy 1v1 England.
England scored an early goal of about 2mins which got me believed that they are going to destroy or massacre Italy but the reverse is the case.
With the look of things and the possession, Italy is likely to win.
123 mins but still 1-1
I was surprised that they scored 2 minutes in also but the 1-1 was kind of expected in my opinion. Both teams have a decent chance at winning the match.

Congratulations to the new European champions Italy. Despite been down earlier on they should the mettle of champions by getting a equalizer and stretching the game extra time then to penalties and got the necessary results. How many of you guys were able to see the match?
Yes, I was able to watch it. It took out a big chunk of my afternoon with extra time and PKs, but it was nice to watch with lots of twists and my favorite team winning in the end.
Great. It was Indeed an exciting one between those two. The penalty shootout was filled with lot of tension. Also Glad the Italians eventually won.
