And it started extremely fast: fastest goal in Euro history! Nice semi-volley from Shaw, his first ever goal with England. It's 1-0 lead for England. Italy usually scores first, let's see how they react this time.
It 1-0 at half time. England are now leading the Azzuri coutsey of goal scored by Manchester united defender look shaw.
But the question is can the English team mentain the winning.
Well, half time and still 1-0. As usual with England, nothing really interesting to report, very boring football. I hope Italy can tie the game quickly, so maybe we'll have some actions in the second half.

I don't think many people got the first goal scorer for the math. The score was quite close but it ended as a tie

Yes, Bonucci ties it at 1-1! That's what England gets for playing such a boring style. Maybe they'll start playing now
End of regulation in the Euro final with 1-1. We're getting 30 minutes more, and possibly penalties.
Note again at the end: hand ball from Saka, and instead of a free kick for Italy, the ref calls a free kick for England and yellow card for Chiellini (true he stopped Saka by the shoulder, but after the hand ball). Strange.
And penalty shoot-outs it will be!
Another completely imaginary yellow card given to Jorginho. He wasn't bad overall, but strange decisions at time from this ref.
So what was the yellow card for? I wasn't exactly paying attention since I walked off after the score didn't change much.
It was a strong challenge between Jorginho and Grealish. Jorginho steps on the ball first, but with Grealish sliding, the ball moves, and Jorginho's cleats clip Grealish' thigh pretty hard. So, of course, it's scary and could have been much worse (pretty close to some very sensitive parts of the male body), but there is no intention to hurt, and no actual foul in my opinion. So, I don't think it deserved a yellow card. Anyways, it didn't affect the match at all, since Jorginho didn't have a yellow card yet.
Yes, Italy wins the Euro 2020 final in the penalty shoot-out! Very intense shoot-outs with several lead changes, but Donnarumma the Italian keeper is the hero (if he hadn't before, he showed in this tournament he was the right person to fill Gigi Buffon's big shoes)
I was worried at times during the match, but I'm glad technical, quick and creative football won against ugly and boring.
It was a long match and watched it late. It was after the 1-1 was called though.

Penalties.
Such a very acrobatic performance from both side and finally we know the champion.
