I also see the Italians winning, but somehow, even if they've scored lots of goals in their latest games, I don't know if Spain can score against that Italian defense. Just about 90 minutes before it starts and we will see.

This will be an exciting. Also expect the Italians to knockout Spain. It however wouldn't be any easy one
it just happened that way mate, Italy beat Spain on penalty shoot out.
And the game is done: Italy wins it after the penalty shoot-outs. Not their best game so far, but they will play the final this Sunday.
Like I said, I am not a fan of Morata (football-wise of course), but I feel bad for him. I read his family was already threatened by some really bad supporters because of some of his previous performances, and now he misses that PK...
Life should not ne tampered with when all football.is played. His family should beat the brunt, the lad was only in a national assignment.

Cavendish wins the sprint again in today's stage Tour de France. That's three just in this year Tour and gets him to a total of 33 stage wins in all Tour de France. It's just one below Eddy Merckx' record. How crazy would that be if he tied or even broke that record (if he wins another one before) with a win on the Champs-Elysees to conclude this year Tour?
How many stages are there in the Tour de France? I wonder if its the same as the general races I know of where there are 3 stages (sprinters, climbers and then final) per day.
It's usually 21 stages over 23 days (2 rest days). But we might not be talking about the same thing. For me (and I think it's the usual meaning), a stage is simply the distance they have to ride each day.
Ah I think I might be wrong in how I classify things since I tend to only know superficial knowledge. To an extent, I know races tend to have 3 parts and thought those parts would be stages but I am not sure if its the correct way to say it.

For Euro Italy-Spain, first surprise of the game: Morata on the bench to start.
And not a surprise, but strong Italian pressure right from the start
Italy's struggling so far. Spain without a real 9 is causing lots of trouble to the Italian defense. Luckily they were not good at finishing their opportunities. We barely saw Jorginho, and nothing much in attack for Italy. I hope this changes in second half
Was really really surprised to see the line up with Morata out. Really a brave move from Enrique. Hope the Changes doesn't affect the team.
I never liked him, I always thought his ratio goals/misses was too low. But today coming off the bench and scoring that goal to tie the match 10 minutes before regulation, that is huge. I am still rooting for the Italians, but they are suffering right now.
Well Morata tends to score quite often but I don't usually pay attention to the goals/misses though. Is this a metric you follow a lot?
I don't really check it as a stat. It's just that every time I watch one of his games, I feel he misses a lot of good opportunities (granted sometimes he does create the opportunities by himself). So a more clinical striker would get even more goals. Of course, I may be wrong, that's just how I see it.
After lots of defense, Italy scores! Very direct play (13 seconds between the time the Italian goalie releases the ball and the goal on the other side), and Chiesa with the perfect touch.
That should give us some very intense last 30 minutes (or maybe more, if extra time).

Yeah, the winner tonight will play the final against Brazil this Saturday. I'm hoping for Argentina vs Brazil, they were definitely the two best teams in this year tournament.

The score between Argentina and Colombia stays at 1-1, which means it's another penalty shoot-outs (no extra time in Copa America). As usual in PK, anybody can win...
And a great performance from Argentina keeper Martinez to send them to the Final, he saved 3 PKs! Colombia played well in that match, but it wasn't sufficient. It will Brazil vs Argentina this Saturday in the Final at the legendary Maracana Stadium
