And the second Euro semifinal started. I know most people see England winning, but for some reason I believe Denmark can keep their fairytale going. We'll know in 90 minutes (or 120 in case of extra time)!
Good luck. I just think England has been doing quit well so I think they can keep up what they have been doing. As for Denmark, I won't discount them because they made it to the semi-finals but I just don't think their lineup is good enough.
Except a little bit at the beginning of the second half against Ukraine, I actually don't think England showed anything very interesting. Always just the bare minimum, while playing most games at home. Now that they're behind one goal with one hour to go at least, we will see if they can react and do better
And they did react quickly! After a first big miss, Sterling tries again and scores to tie the game
I also feel Denmark can surprise England tonight. Hope to see then continue fairy tale to the finals. It would be one awesome story if they eventually get to complete it
Looking at the results, it looks like England did win in the end. I didn't really have time to watch the actual match though.
Yep they did, congratulations to England! They were good at keeping Denmark attack mostly silent, except a few plays the first 30 minutes or so. Kane was designed man of the match mostly because he scored the second goal on the rebound of his missed penalty. But in my mind, Sterling should have been man of the match. He's the one forcing Denmark own goal in first half, and he's again the one getting the penalty in extra time (by the way, I watched the videos again, and I don't think it is a penalty, but it is done now anyways).

That is the best moments of that first 45 minutes and now it is 1-1 to both teams
Yeah, and still 1-1 after regulation. Although not much is happening, we're getting 30 minutes more.
Just saw the free kick again. That was quite a stunner from Damsgaard. They was absolutely no way Pickford would habe kept it out from where he was standing.
Yeah, the perfect combination of speed and trajectory. I didn't know Damsgaard before the Euro, but at just 21 years old, he has a lot of potential.

And England takes the lead. Kane misses the penalty (or really I should say Schmeichel saves it), but gets the goal on the rebound.
What do you think about the penalty by the way? There is indeed a small foul, but enough for a penalty? I think so, but it's tough to say.
And ultimately it sees them make progression into the finals. Don't see bothing wrong with spotkick. It was a great first save from Kasper Schmeichel but Sadly he could not keep the rebound away.
Oh well, like most of Europe, I am disappointed, but England wins against Denmark after the extra time. They will play in the final this Sunday against Italy.

With all these international soccer games, I haven't checked the transfer situation closely, but it seems PSG is quite active. They already signed Wijnaldum just before the Euro. A couple of days ago, it was officially announced Hakimi signed a 5 year contract. The right full back comes from Inter Milan to replace Florenzi returning to AS Roma (he was on loan). Donnarumma and Ramos should follow very soon. And finally yesterday we hear there are talks with Paul Pogba. Lots of movement! On the other hand, Mbappe still hasn't renewed his contract.
Yeah Paris Saint Germain seems to make more deals in this windows after securing the services of two great players. I believe the Former ac Milan goal defender and Madrid defender deal should get wrapped up any moment from now. Can't wait to see all this arrivals come and see them challenge next season. I hope Mbappe does extend his contract.
Donnarumma and Hakimi are both young and very good recruits for the future, but I am not convinced by Ramos. He's probably still good but not so young anymore and injuries have not spared him the last season. Anyways, I do not root for PSG in Ligue 1, or in the Champion's League for that matter.
Yeah sure. Well about Ramos, he is clearly not in their play for the long term. But his addition to the team could be of great help has he brings experience to the younger generation of players. Something I feel they need now.
It's done for Ramos, a 2 year contract. I didn't realize he was a free agent, so I guess it's a good pick for PSG (although his salary will be really high).
I also realized PSG already had Navas as keeper. Now with Donnaruma, they will be in direct competition, let's hope it stays friendly.
Mbappe hasn't renewed his contract I wonder what he is thinking
He still has one year in his current contract, but of course PSG wants to renew it now, otherwise at the end of next year, he could leave and go anywhere for free. He made multiple comments that he wasn't against going somewhere else, like Real Madrid. But I think in the end, he will just renew with PSG, once they make it even better financially for him.

A little late, but I just watched the summary of today's stage in Tour de France. It was a tough one with two ascents of the legendary Mont Ventoux (first from the east side, and then from the West side, shorter, but steeper), with the finish line after the final descent.
Wout van Aert won the stage solo. Pogacar was attacked, but stays safely in the lead in the general classification. At least, it shows his opponents have not given up yet. Hopefully that will give us some great stages in the Pyrenees.
Hokey: The Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the Montreal Canadiens 1x0 last night and won the Stanley CUp.
As a Canadiens supporter, I'm sad about that result but at the same time, I'm proud of the boys for getting that far! The term as an underdog since day 1 so they did a great job.
