Thanks once again for the tokens! Yay! back to national domestic leagues for football, I prefer that to international matches. Semi and finals for tennis US Open as well. And some rugby, lots of sports this week end as usual!
Rubgy tends to a sport I don't hear much about but I guess American Football gets the attention more in the US

Yes, it really depends where you are. In the US, even the big international matches, it's very difficult to find them on TV. Let alone the domestic leagues. I always have to find streaming channels, and often just summaries, not full matches.
I don't really follow rugby anymore. I played a bit back in college but then I had a huge fight with one player and the coach and have avoided it since then :P
Super excited for the NFL though!
Definitely a contact sport, I can see how fights could start. Although whenever that happens, it seems to stop rather quickly.
After so many years living in the US, I have to try and get into the NFL vibe!

The NFL is officially back!
The season opener was between Tom Brady's Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Dak Prescott's Dallas Cowboys.
Dak had a good game, indicating that he's back in shape after a season-ending injury last year but it still wans't enough to beat the home team.
The Buccaneers will attempt to win back-to-back Super Bowls and even though it's too soon to as if they can make it, having Brady under center is always a plus.

Lorient scored quickly by Laurienté after just 7 minutes but Burak Yilmaz just tied the match with a penalty. 1-1 and about 20 minutes left to play in first half.
It was a nice match, Lorient played very forward, and never backed down. In the end, they won 2-1. Even with their first win last match, Lille is really not starting this season well. Very different from last year. They have to play in the Champions League this week, I hope they can quickly recover from this loss.

As expected Brugge didn't have too much trouble taking care of Oostende, a 3-0 win. Oostende red card at the end of first help probably helped.
Even with their bad 6-1 loss against Gent last match, Club Brugge is leading the Belgian league.

Day going great. Awesome day of football it was. No major disappointment across Europe top leagues. Most talked about game today was Cristiano Ronaldo and Manchester United did well in securing three points after seeing off Newcastle at home. The Portuguese with a brace on his second debut.
The second game that also generated a buzz was the Chelsea versus Aston Villa gene. Awesome win from the boys in blues has they ran out comfortable winners with a three to nil scoreline. Lukaku was in action on this one has a bagged a brace.
In the world of tennis, the the game between Novak Djokovic and zverev caught my attention has the game was a tough one. The Serb however make it through after five sets of losing some and winning some. Great performance from him. He showed mettle and resilience. Can't wait for the final against Medvedev.

I look at arsenal and laugh so hard, I'm still surprised seeing such happening, imagine arsenal being relegated...
LET'S just hope it's just the beginning, they might perform better as the league hasn't gone far yet...
Quite funny seeing arsenal in such position. Their win today against Norwich saw them secure their first three points. No matter how they try to resuscitate their performance, don't see them doing much this season. They should be settling for a place outside of the top ten as things stand

I was hoping they could keep the lead a bit longer but Lille already tied it.

In first half, Lorient was playing really well offensively. Now, it's a bit slower, but Lille doesn't seem too dangerous yet. Really anything can happen, still about 25 minutes...
And it didn't stay there. Terem Moffi scored one goal just a few minutes before the end, giving the 2-1 home win to Lorient.
