IND vs AUS - Day 1 - RAIN and then Aussies control - STUMPS

A very good evening to one and all . Hope you are having a great day .

After all the controversy and bashing the Indian players faced earlier in the week for breaching COVID protocols , they come today to face Aussies in one of the worst venue for outsiders - SCG .

In Sydney from 1996 - only England have managed to beat Aussies in Test and no other team including India has been able to do it .

Rain

I was happy to see that it was raining to be honest , why? Because I have a bet going on for the match to end as draw @ almost 5 odds. So it would be pretty sweet if rain helped me win that .
Anyway there was a short of 35 overs today ( only 55 overs was bowled ) although they played for an extended 1 hour .

Australia managed to score 166 runs with the loss of just 2 wickets and they are looking good.

1st Innings

I bet on draw because of the fact that I believe that both Smith as well as Pujara will play well this match after failing to score in the first two matches .

We can already see that Smith and Labuschagne are doing well on the crease and if any one of them score 100+ I think Aussies will get to 350 .

Top player for me so far from batting side -

Marnus Labuschagne

Top bowler -

Mohammed Siraj

Prediction

Well SCG is a batting pitch and looking at the record Aussies have in SCG from 1996 it will be a huge risk to go against them and bet on India .

But I am of the opinion that it is worth to take the risk and place the bet on Draw ( Do your own Research ) .

Right now the odds are at 3.6 for Draw which is good and I would definitely go for it .

Regards,
MR.

I agree as only two things can happen with rain and with the Aussies already having a decent start it looks like a draw or and Australia win. The pitch can also sweat under the covers trapping moisture so the pitch could become lively again and give India a chance in the first session tomorrow. I would say you have a decent chance of a draw but more likely an Aussie win if I had to place a bet right now. Are there more rain delays expected as then your chances will increase.

You are right but I saw odds of around 1.5 for Aussies that's why I am inclined towards draw.

I personally would like to take chance .

I think it will end as draw for another reason - Rohit Sharma.
