A true hero - José Luis Chilavert from goalie to president?

I want to share a sport-story I read about today. A true hero and maybe can he make a difference in Paraguay?

In 1999, legendary goalkeeper José Luis Chilavert refused to participate in the Copa America when Paraguay was the host nation.
Then he thought that the country should instead use the money for the championship for education and health care, and not waste it on such trivial things like football.
In 2017, he put his foot down and went on a hard attack against his home country Paraguay, who wanted to seek shared hosting for the World Cup. According to Chilavert, "the country did not need a World Cup, but needed schools, hospitals and infrastructure".

Even today, Chilavert continues to be one of the biggest opponents of FIFA and CONMEBOL (South American Football Association) and is strongly critical of the organizations.

"They are worse than rats, the only thing that matters to them is money" , he has said.
It is now clear that the goalkeeper icon will stand in the presidential election in Paraguay 2023 to stop all injustice and be a voice for the weak.
