That was self inflicted

At the end of the game, I felt a bit hollow because we could have lost it as easily as we could have won the match. However, at the end of the day, we can only blame ourselves for once again putting unnecessary pressure on ourselves and relinquishing our lead.

The linups were released and I had no qualms with it. We're at that point where we have to rotate the squad due to the Europa league . It was also nice to see Chambers back in the lineup and the makeshift right back actually performed rather well.

The game started in pretty much how I'd imagined, with a quick goal from none other than Auba in the 6th minute. From that point on, we controlled possession and for large spells, looked like we were set to score the second goal.

In fact, we were suppose to be like four goals up before the end of the half but in typical arsenal format, we let the opposition grab the equaliser through an error from Xhaka.

To be fair to the defence, we didn't actually give Burnley any space in the match. In fact, we virtually controlled the entire half, moving the ball around with ease, until that silly goal was conceded.

It was nice to have Partey pulling strings in midfield. ALthough he gave the ball away a couple of times, he was largely effective. Xahaka's performance pretty much the same with Xhaka, until that error that led to the goal from Westwood.

Lost Energy

The second half started slower, with Burnley looking more impressive. The manager obviously talked about the issues with the centre of the park, and focused on Partey in particular, with Vydra basically man marking the Ghanaian centra midfielder.

Unlike the first half where we created many chances, the second half was nervy and we ended up being under self inflicted pressure through our passing.

The central midfield partnership looked shaky, and were wasteful with possession at times. One of those lost passes fell kindly for McNeil who squared it for Westwood who shot it straight at Leno. Any sort of direction on that shot, and we would have been a goal down.

After that opportunity and some substitutions, that included bringing on Pepe. The Winger was once again very effective on the right flank, causing problems for Pieters on numerous occasions.

The inconsistency of VAR was once again on show, as we saw an obvious handball for Pieters waved off. His arms were clearly away from his body and it was in the box, so there's really no explanation why.

Later inThe last 15 minutes of the match was all Arsenal, as we switched to second gear and started piling on the pressure. Waves after wave of attack, going inches wide and striking the crossbar on numerous occasions, we just couldn't grab that winning goal.

On one hand, I'm glad we create these many chances, even though it turned out to be academic. It's a pleasure to know that against a resilient and deep lying defence, we can create chances. If only we could turn off our profilgacy and just hit those final balls on target.

Today we get a draw that feels like a loss but at least we didn't lose. Our focus should be on the Europa league from here on, as we go up against Olympiacos in the last 16. We have an opportunity to exert revenge for last season, and put those ghosts to rest.

We're in a good place right now, and I think we have the right energy to get a good run in Europe. We have to dig deep, put in the work in those games and get a good result. Last season, it was the FA Cup, this season, all we have is the Europa, how will that go? We'll wait and see. Until we meet again, up the Arsenal.

8 mistake leading to a goal, the worst of any premier league player! That dude seriously needs to get sold his simply not good enough to play 6 or 8 for the arsenal!

His right foot is dead, he turns slower than a tank, his for a terrible first touch, no awareness, lack of concentration! How else can I say his not good?

How many more games must he cost us?
