Arteta saved by Covid?

Ok, the title is a bit over the top. But i am sure that the front 4 would not be Martinelli, Smith Rowe, Saka and Lacazette.

Luiz, Gabriel and Willian were off because of self isolation and Aubameyang was on the bench still not fully recovered from calf issue.

When i seen Xhaka and Bellerin in the starting line up, i thought to myself, should i even watch this? I criticized Xhaka a lot so it would be only fair to praise when earned. Even i still think he is just to slow for this league he had a really good game today. A lot of energy, some great passes, most of them forward and he scored a great goal from a free kick.

Saka was probably the best Arsenal player today and maybe even for the whole season. Had a great game on the right and scored a wonder goal, that he claims was intentional, we can only believe him.

Best thing today were chances created. Something Arsenal struggled almost whole season. Today they scored 3 but also could score at least 3 more. Lacazette had a great chance when he cut the ball from the goalkeeper, tried to place it into the top corner but the keeper did a good job. Elneny hit the crossbar with a powerful shot and Martinelli had a good chance saved by the Mendy.

Martinelli started his comeback, after a long injury, last week with an assist, and today he was good. His energy pushes everybody to do more, and being only 19 years old, he has a great potential. As long as he is fit, it is an no brainer that he should play before Willian and Pepe.

Martinelli, Smith Rowe and Saka could be an attacking combination for Arsenal in the next 7-10 years. If they don't sell them to make some money, that was a thing for Arsenal for a while now.

Today players showed that they want to play for the club and manager, but nothing is yet over. It was a good game after almost 2 months of depressing disaster. How bad was it shows that i was not sure about the win even when we were up 3:0. And in the end i was kind right.

Chelsea team had a poor game, and they created some serious chances only for last 10 minutes. Abraham scored a goal in 84 minute and in 89th Pablo Mari made a clumsy tackle for a Chelsea penalty. Jorginho took it, but Leno waited and made a great save. If that got in it would be 3:2 with 5 minutes to go. And how we played in the past, i would not be sure Arsenal will not make some stupid mistake to make it 3:3.

In the end 3:1 to Arsenal, and finally something to cheer about for Arsenal supporters. With Partey, Gabriel and Aubameyang fit and maybe a midfield signing in January, could the rest of the season be a bit more enjoyable for Arsenal fans?

This was a good result for Arsenal today. I don't rate Chelsea one bit and honestly they have no chance of making top 4 with Lampard running the show. Arsenal should be safe and make mid table which would reflect what kind of a season they have had. the standard of the Premier League is not great at the moment and are lacking top players.

I did not watch enough of Chelsea this season, i know they had some good games and some bad ones. When Lampard made that 3 sub and not got Giroud in, i thought wtf and thank you :D only real threat was from crosses and he left him on the bench.

I never though Arsenal was in danger of relegation, but it was really hard to watch them. I hope this could be a start of some less depressing football weekends :D

Today was a great day for Arsenal, it has had ups and downs, with this game they stopped their fall, maybe it put an end to their bad streak?

it was down for almost 2 months, they are not that bad :) on paper, few next games should be a bit easier, but... Today the played 110% and that is what i want to see.

If I think they haven't won a game since early November, they gave their coach a break. We'll see the next games as they go.
