European Water Polo Championship Officially Opened

The 37th Men’s European Water Polo Championship was officially opened with a ceremonial program at the popular “Ložionica”, the region’s first center for creative industries and innovation. Accompanied by the Serbian national anthem, a parade of the participating nations’ flags, and the presentation of medals and trophies, the opening ceremony was attended by numerous distinguished guests from the world of sport and public life.

Alongside representatives of Serbian water polo, the event was attended by leading officials of European and world aquatic sports organizations, Antonio Silva and Husein Al Musalam, as well as Vanja Udovičić, Darko Udovičić, legendary player Igor Milanović, President of the Serbian Olympic Committee Dejan Tomašević, and many others.

Addresses were delivered by Minister of Sport Zoran Gajić, President of the Water Polo Federation of Serbia Viktor Jelenić, Antonio Silva, Husein Al Musalam, and celebrated Serbian water polo players Igor Milanović and Milan Aleksić.
