Bozzlife: Can't win for losing...

I am getting to the point that I am running out of words. Can you actually believe that? Once again, I was handed a loss in our family fantasy league this past week.

It's not that I didn't try. Any other week putting up 137+ points would be considered an absolute win. In fact, even though I am sitting in last place in our league, I have the fourth most points of any other team.

You read that right, if rankings were based on total points accumulated instead of win/loss record, I would be sitting in fourth place right now. So how is it that I am sitting in 8th place with a 3-9 record?

If I knew, I wouldn't be sitting there would I?

To say I am despondent would be an understatement. Disillusioned, maybe. Angry, for sure. I might not be as well versed in sports as some people out there, but I'd like to think I know enough that I can put together a decent team. Apparently, that isn't the case.

Actually, I am pretty happy with how my team did this past week. In fact I will probably keep them largely intact moving into next week. It just happened to be some cruel twist of fate that hammered a beating down on my once again this past week.

Okay, so my gamble on Herbert didn't entirely pan out. It was still better than the sub 10 point numbers Tom Brady has been pulling in the past couple of weeks. Dropping him like a hot pocket was one of the smartest things I have done.

Moore could have done a little "more" for me this week. In fact, when we look at the benches in a second, you will see where I could have went a different direction and changed my fortunes.

Fuller has been sitting on my bench but was a last minute move into my rotation right before the game on Thanksgiving day. Talk about a smart move. With the Texans putting the 41 to 25 smack down on Detroit and ultimately costing them their general manager and head coach, Fuller was a win for me this week.

Ridley did okay, but when healthy I know he is capable of so much more. I will have to ruminate on his place in my roster this week. Especially since he is listed as questionable right now.

Robinson, defied expectations and got me a good 10 points more than he was predicted. Drake followed suit and gives me nothing to complain about with his performance.

I still struggle at the Tight End slot which can be evidenced by the poor showing of Henry. I don't know if TE's just aren't utilized as much in today's football or if all of the good ones are sitting rostered on teams already. I haven't had much luck either way.

Edmonds was a bad call. He needs to do better than 4 points per game. I am going to look at his average performance over the season and make call on him before the end of the day today.

Kicking was solid, Defense did great.

The fact that my opponent had one player that didn't even score a point makes the loss even more difficult.

As you can see, Evans would have been the smarter play on my team over Moore and Edmonds. That play would have given me the win. Even throwing Williams in my flex position would have been a better option than Edmonds.

I know I have said this before, but at this point, I don't even know if there is a reason to keep going. I don't think I have a chance of making it to the playoffs unless I win every single game from here on out. While that isn't impossible, I don't think it is very likely.

I don't want to be a sore loser, so I will probably just continue to take my beatings.

Don't be surprised if next week I am just a fraction of the man you see today though.

Lol, that’s fantasy for you @bozz.

The TE position is a joke this year. If you don’t have Kelce, you’re basically throwing a dart at the board. No consistency at all.

Keep playing! You could play well and knock someone out of the playoffs. Better to be a spoiler than a sore loser :$

Yeah, you hit the nail on the head there. You have some good points too. I am just so sick of buying everyone else liquor. My wife and I are the only family in the league that hasn't had at least one person win.
