Here I am again with some more tasty clickbait basketball pics for you. Pixabay is pretty amazing!

Anyway, Saturday was the big day in college basketball this weekend, but before we get there we need to talk about Friday night.

#19 Illinois was able to put a hurting on #7 Iowa with a five point upset victory. I have a feeling there is going to be a lot of big ten representation in the tournament this year.

The other game on Friday night was postponed, so that moves us along to Saturday.

#9 Alabama is losing a little bit of their steam and got handed a loss by #24 Oklahoma. Meanwhile unranked TCU took #12 Missouri into over time and only lost by four points. I think the Horned Frogs still have some big wins ahead of them before the end of the season.

The upsets didn't stop there. We also had unranked Florida beating #11 West Virginia, Penn State taking down #14 Wisconsin, Georgia Tech taking away a win from #16 Florida State, and #18 Tennessee besting #15 Kansas. You might think the upsets end there, but we aren't done quite yet...

#20 Virginia Tech beat #8 Virginia, and unranked Purdue beat #21 Minnesota.

That is a total of seven upsets out of 14 games played. Talk about an exciting weekend!

#1 Gonzaga, #2 Baylor, and #3 Villanova all sailed along to relatively easy wins this weekend. Depending on which part of the bracket these teams get seeded in, it could be a 1,2,3,4 final four this year.

It might make the throw up a little, but U of M could definitely find themselves in that position come March/April.

It certainly helps them if their games keep getting postponed.

Sunday was a much more subdued day with only two games being played. I am not sure why, but I actually spent the better part of my day watching the dumpster fire that is Michigan State. It went better than I planned, but still not as good as I had hoped.

At this point it is more enjoyable to watch my niece play middle school basketball than it is to watch the Spartans. The number of turnovers are about the same, but they can at least come away with the win more often than not.

What I have really been enjoying watching is my older nieces varsity team. Thanks to the miracle of the Internet we have been able to watch her home games even though we are four hours away.

Her team only has one loss so far this year and I have to say, when they are "on", it is a true joy to watch them play. I personally think they rely on the three point shot a little too much, but when they are falling, they can easily rack up close to seventy points on the opposing team. That is pretty impressive for a high school girls team.

Anyway, that is all I have. Come back on Friday for a recap of the action from the week.
