After the defeat in the weekend for Chelsea in the English premier league game against West Brom, Chelsea bounced back in the UEFA champions league game quarter finals 1st Leg against Porto at Seville, Spain. It was an impressive game for the London side as their game improved in the Champions league. Chelsea are close to booking their place in the Semifinals as they will be playing either Real Madrid or Liverpool, any which way Chelsea next challenge after qualifying will not be an easy one.

FC Porto didn't take it easy on Chelsea as they are looking forward to record a winning against Chelsea because they have not won any game in their head to head against the London side. Porto are a strong team that really gave Chelsea a tough time throughout the 90 minutes but Chelsea are more determined and mindful. Several interceptions from the defenders and Saves from the Keeper to deny them a goal.

Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell put Chelsea on a more favourable place in this round and it was a great collective effort from all the players. Chelsea are preparing for their next game in the English premier league against Crystal palace to retain their lost position in the top 4.

It is fair to say Chelsea got lucky with this rival, but Oporto defeated Juventus so they deserve to be in the quarter-finals for sure. Chelsea had a solid victory as expected, and I am already imagining Kante and Kovacic competing against Modric, Kross and Casemiro. There is still another match for both Chelsea and Real Madrid, but they both obtained the most solid victories of this week's matches.

I have always wanted to see a big Champions League match between Chelsea and Real Madrid but this has never happened, at least not in this decade. The most frustrating moment for me was in 2012, when Chelsea had Drogba and Real Madrid was in full force with Mourinho, CR7, and the like. The Champions League final of that year was Bayern Munich vs Chelsea, in the semifinal, Real Madrid could have defeated Bayern but they didn't. They lost that semifinal in penalties due to bad luck. Hopefully, now almost 10 years later we can have these 2 teams at the semifinals and see who's better.
