Sturridge to begin training with Spanish team Mallorca
Daniel Sturridge who was one of the best striker in England during his time is set to begin training with Mallorca. Back in 2014, Daniel Sturridge was making a name for himself as one of the sharpest strikers in England. After a season and a half at Liverpool, the striker had scored 36 goals and 14 assists in 49 games. The young striker had predicted a great future, but injuries put an end to Sturridge, who eventually disappeared from the top of European football.
After a trip to Turkey without much success, the English striker was not on contract with a club last season, but that needs to be changed now has he has begin training with La Liga promoters RCD Mallorca.
He scored 77 goals during his stays at Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool and West Brom. For a number of years he was also part of the English national team, where he played 26 matches and eight goals. He was also part of the UK team for the London Olympics, which also included Ryan Giggs and Aaron Ramsey
How sad the trajectory of one of the best prolific forward at a time has taken. He used to be really great but constant injuries ruined his career.
Been in second division in the Spanish league club would not have been what he imagine would happen. I can only wish he enjoys his stay in the new club.
