Football in chaos as New Super League is being formed
Good Evening
A dreadful day for football.
UEFA and Premier League have blasted the plans and warned there will be bans for clubs and players who join the Super League.
What is the Super League?
The Super League website reads and I quote "The Super League is a new European competition between 20 top clubs comprised of 15 founders and five annual qualifiers. There will be two groups of 10 clubs each, playing home and away fixtures within the group each year.
"Following the group stage, eight clubs will qualify for a knockout tournament, playing home and away until the single-match Super League championship, in a dramatic four-week end to the season.
"Games will be played midweek, and all clubs will remain in their domestic leagues."
The Premier League big six have all agreed to join, the three biggest clubs in pain and Italy have also agreed to join.
An absolute shambles for football today.
Liverpool, Tottenham, Chelsea have already confirmed their plans.

Many players around the world have expressed their anger.

I totally agree with you. THis is terrible. I do love top matches, but it is utterly stupid to make a league in which the same teams are guaranteed a place. It removes the fun and excitement of the game. I really hope the plans will fail!
