Robert Lewandowski, Bayern Munich striker polish, winner of the last edition of the UEFA Champions League 2019/2020, has been awarded the Fifa award as best player of 2020. Born in 1988, he has an incredible career behind him, establishing himself above all in the German championship with Borussia Dortmund (2010-2014) and Bayern Munich (2014-Today), establishing himself among the strongest and most profitable strikers in the goals assigned, winner in the last three years of the top scorer in the German league.

In the last year Robert has won the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Super Cup, German League (sixth in a row), National Super Cup and National Cup with Bayer Monaco, as well as UFC top scorer and the German league title. Last year he ranked eighth in the Golden Ball standings and this year he will not be awarded due to the pandemic in progress, a strong sign of respect for the tragic situation that has upset this 2020.

The announcement of the winner of the The Best FIFA Men's Player award, won by Leo Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in recent years, have left the latter without any recognition and in particular for Messi who has not won any trophy, unlike of Ronaldo who won the Scudetto with Juventus. Personally, I fully agree with Robert Lewandowski's award ceremony, objectively a player who has shown consistency in the realization of goals but above all an example of a player on the field, a great athlete always willing to sacrifice for his team, covering tens of kilometers in each game for to support the team and to accompany it to victory.

I am very sorry that this year does not also include the awarding of the Ballon d'Or because it would have been a further recognition for the exceptional career of the Polish player. Even when he was playing for Borussia Dortmund, he was always the point of reference for the team, the man who solves the game with a header or a long shot or a refined touch in front of the opponent's goal. A 32 year old athlete who still has a great desire to run and score, not at all satisfied with the trophies won to date and the millionaire salary. At every game he continues to be hungry for goals and victory and his dedication is exemplary, he is also a driver for his team, a dressing room man as they say, as well as a captain on the pitch.

Among the strongest active players, Robert Lewandowski has several records, especially in the Bundesliga

  • Player who scored the fastest quadruple in the UEFA Champions League, scoring four goals in fourteen minutes, between 53 'and 67'
  • Foreign player who has scored the most goals in Bundesliga history
  • Player who scored the fastest quadruple in the UEFA Champions League, scoring four goals in fourteen minutes, between 53 'and 67'
  • UEFA Champions League top scorer for Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich

Congratulations to Robert Lewandowski for his sincere and deserved recognition

Hmm, I am so glad Lewandowski got that Award, he was fully deriving of it. I am however a bit disgruntled seeing Kloop win the Men's Coach award ahead of Flick. With no disrespect to Kloop, I feel Flick should have gotten that award considering his accomplishments last season.

No disrespect to Messi and Ronaldo as well, I feel none of them should have gotten into the top 3. The likes of Muller, Mbappe, Neymar, and Thiago Silva would have been better options considering their performance last season, and thus year.

My humble opinion.

Congrats to Robert once again.

And this is my anger towards FIFA. They repay people's past achievements in a year when someone else should have received it. The award a year ago should have been for Kloo, but they gave it to someone else. So so annoying to me.
