Federica is currently 33 years old and is unlikely to be able to sustain the intense rhythms and workouts in the coming years. In 2006 the athlete had a difficult period, without any victories, due to muscular problems that haunted her for several months and a relationship with the coach that was not perfect, which led her to change coach.
Today Federica is in the final phase of her career that would end in an exemplary way with participation in the last Olympics, also hoping for a success in the 200 meters. I think many athletes will be thinking similarly. The problem is training and trying to peak at the right time just for these things to be cancelled. Top athletes have a time limit and 33 is in my opinion past the sell by date and wont make 2024 as 36 is seriously old in this sport.
