Indian Premier League T20 Cricket League is getting interesting with each game completed as some records are getting broken and for some teams, the change in venues has not been that lucky.
Let's see the details from match number 10 which got completed on Twenty Eighth of September between defending champions Mumbai Indians against the Royal Challengers of Bangalore.

Having lost the toss, Royal Challengers Bangalore have to bat first.

Royal Challengers Bangalore Innings:

RCB made 3 changes from the squad that played first 2 mathes with Gurkeerat Singh, Isuru Udana and A Zampa replacing Umesh Yadav, Dale Steyn and Josh Philippe** respectively.
For Mumbai Indians, there was a single change with Ishan Kishan in for injured Saurabh Tiwari.
Royal Challengers as we know, love to chase the targets rather than setting one, so, may be knowing this and because of a chance of due at a later stage, Rohit Sharma asked RCB to bat first after winning the toss.
RCB's new opening pair in this tournament, Aaron Finch and young Devdutt Padikkal started with a bang as they raced to 59 in the power play overs and when Aaron Finch got out for 52 from 35 balls, the opening pair had added 81 from 9 overs and that was a good platform for other explosive batsmen to come in like Virat Kohli, ABD and Shivam Dube.

Aaron Finch got more destructive after he was dropped when he was on 9 in the Third over bowled by Trent Boult and the drop was costlier for Mumbai as Finch went on to add 40+ to his score.
At the other end, Finch's opening partner,Devdutt Padikkal was at his usual attacking mood as he was matching to the boundary hitting by Finch and scored his Second Fifty in Three matches.

With RCB captain's lean form continuing in this tournament, Devdutt Padikkal's innings was a good one and set the platform for next batsman AB De Villiers who rediscovered his form and we got to see vintage ABD as he went on to score 55 from just 24 balls with 4 each of Fours and Sixes and was particularly severe on World's number One ODI bowler Jasprit Bumrah as he gave away 40+ runs from his quota of Four overs.

ABD and Shivam Dube added 47 runs from last 17 balls to lift RCB's score to 201 and Dube scored an unbeaten 27 from 10 balls.

Mumbai Indians Innings:

Chasing 202 for victory from 120 balls, Mumbai Indian's start wasn't good as they lost 3 quick wickets including that of Rohit Sharma and Quinton De Kock to be reduced to 39 for 3 by Seventh over.
It was Ishan Kishan who was in for injured Saurabh Tiwari to score the runs in the company of Kieron Pollard and they added 119 for the Fifth wicket and were almost chased down the score before got out on the penultimate delivery of the innings in quest of scoring another Six to finish the innings.

Ishan Kishan never looked like he is playing his First match in this edition of IPL as he was more destructive with score of 99 from just 58 balls with 9 Sixes and 2 Fours.
Although he missed a well deserved century in quest of taking team across the winning line, he ensured along with Kieron Pollard that Mumbai will not lose the match and Kieron Pollard himself scored a very well deserved half century with a score of 60 from 24 balls.
Before the last ball of MI innings bowled, Mumbai needed Five runs for a win, but Pollard could hit a Four to take the match to Super Over.
For RCB, young Washington Sunder was very economical with giving just 12 runs from his Four overs and picked up the wicket of Rohit Sharma.
This was the second super over in this edition in just 10 matches with Kings XI Punjab versus Delhi Capitals match being the First one.

Super Over:

Mumbai started the Super over with batting first and it was Captain Rohit Sharma with Kieron Pollard who walked in and RCB started bowling with Navdeep Saini.
Mumbai could score just 7 runs from their stipulated Six balls with just One boundary.
RCB started with Ab Devilliers and Captain Kohli to face Jasprit Bumrah.
RCB couldn't score freely against Bumrah's variations before ABD top edging one to short fine leg for a Boundary and Kohli finished the innings with a Boundary on last ball needing a single to win.

It was a good win for RCb against Mumbai.
The scorecards for both teams are as below:

That win should give some confidence to RCB and the changes they made in this match were all justified with all 3 players who got their First match in this edition were all coming good.
RCB is a mix of some experienced and young players and I wish they got long in this edition to make it to Top Four atleast!!!!!

As I write this,.Mumbai just defeated Kings XI Punjab to move to the First position in the points table and RCB is there at Fifth position with their next match scheduled against Rajasthan Royals on Third October.

Absolute cracker it was!!! Both teams tied on same score after 20 overs from each side and a Super over needed to decide the winner.

Infact, the teams seems to have misjudged the conditions in UAE as against the conditions in India and due isn't a big factor in deciding the outcome of the matches and that is something which makes both the innings even stevens.

Thanks for stopping by, nice to interact with you :)
