Hello Sports Lovers,

Olympics has started with a grand opening yesterday and events are going on in full swing and we have to give a big round of applause to hosts Japan for making it to happen inspite of growing Corona CoVid 19 cases.

It's always a dream for any athlete to participate in atleast one edition of Olympics as that is considered as the greatest sporting event.

Well, here I am with another edition of OCD Sportstalk Curation Incubation Update, a weekly blog to give an update on the happenings withing our community and the statistics of the the community in a nutshell.

Before we move to see the statistics for Sports Talk Social, let's have a recap of sports happened around the World in last one week.

Frankly speaking, not much sports activities happened over last week except that, lots of Cricket matches.

India won the 3 match One Day International series against Sri Lanka by a margin of 2-1 as hosts had a consolation win in the Third match after India experimented too much with fielding 5 debutantes in Sanju Samson, Krishnappa Gowtham, Rahul Chahar, Nitish Rana and Chetan Sakariya after winning the First 2 ODI's.

India will be happy with the outcome as they had a second string team and some of the picks from the tour were, Surya Kumar Yadav, Ishan Kishan making the most use of the opportunities they got and among the bowlers, it was Rahul Chahar and pacer Chetan Sakariya justified their selection in the last match.

South Africa lead the 3 match T20 series by 2-0 margin against Ireland with Third match happening today.

England won the 3 match T20 series against Pakistan by 2-1 margin after losing the First match against visitors.

Zimbabwe and touring Bangladesh have shared the 3 match T20 series 1-1 with Third match is yet to be played, we can remember that the visitors won the ODI series by 3-0 margin along with winning the one off test.

Australia overcame the misery of losing the T20 series against hosts West Indies and won the First ODI rather comfortably.

They will be playing the Second match of the 3 ODI series today.

In the Football news, lots of transfers and buying happening as for as Football league players are concerned.

Meanwhile, Olympics is into Second day by tomorrow with China leading the medals tally by end of First day with 3 Golds and India made a good start by winning a medal on First day itself as weightlifter Mirabai Chanu won the Silver medal in 49 KG event today.

Sports Talk Social Community Stats:

image.png

It was rather a dull week on Sports Talk Social inspite of close to 40 new members joining the community and we anticipate that might be like a break after recent Euro and Copa America cups and not much Sports activities as I mentioned above.

But, with Olympics already started, there is much to research, analyse and write as a Sports blogger and we are hoping there will be more traffic on this community like before.

The numbers for active users, interactions and pending rewards have all gone down a bit as compared to earlier weeks, but as we discussed, this is the week we are anticipating more good blogs flowing in again.

As always, the below rules we have set on this community as minimum standards and these are included once again here for the benefit of new joinees and allow us to nominate the blogs to @ocd's incubation program and we urge our bloggers to take a note of these and adhere to it for more chance of getting curated.

  1. Content is genuine without plagiarism and is written by blogger in his own words.
  2. Images are properly sourced to include link to image.
  3. Blog has around 500 words (if not more than that) preferably in English and if it's multilingual, ensure English language content has around 500 words and has quality content.

4. The blogger is interacting with others within the community and is responsive to the comments posted by others on his own blog.

A BIG thanks to @sportstalksocial community and @ocd for the curation and support as always and we hope to hear from you with any suggestions and improvement points about this community and the curation program.

Wishing all a Happy Weekend :)

Thank you @hugo1954, I have been following the Indian Olympic team members since quite some time.

Although they had disappointing start in Archery and Shooting, it was Weightlifting which has given India a medal on the First day of an Olympics event for the First time!!!

Nice to know you will be blogging on Olympics events, have a good day :)
