These are previews from matches involving Belgian Teams with all the latest on team news, player form, injuries along with my personal betting angles, ...

I skipped the cup matches yesterday only really watching Standard in the evening without having any bets. 9 matches are played tonight and I'm having a closer look into them right now. These matches both offer opportunities but also a lot of risk which hasn't always worked out in the past years. I am looking forward to the challenge though. These are brief previews on each of the matches, final line-ups that revealed before the match will be key in these matches so most of my betting action will be in-game.

Cercle Brugge vs Beerschot

The home team managed to climb to the 10th spot after a good steak of 4 wins and a draw in the last 5 and it looks like they will start with their A-Squad tonight despîte having an important game against direct competitor Stvv in the weekend. They play against Beerschot who from what I've heard play a pressing style. They are 5th in the 2nd division and each of their last 5 matches had at least 2 goals with 4 of those going 5 or over. This should be a game where both teams are willing to go forward. From the matches last season in the 16th cup final where there were no lower division team than 1st and 2nd, 5 out of 6 went to 11 corners or more. Beerschot also went over 10 in 4 of the last 5 while cercle recently under their new coach also saw more corners. The corner over which now is impossible to take is the bet that I will look most at. Lommel vs Zulte-Waregem

Zulte-Waregem is in a relegation fight and have a key match against Eupen in the weekend. Eupen lost yesterday away against Deinze keeping key players on the bench so Zulte-Waregem might be forced to do the same and their coach stated that there will be some changes. Lommel is in a bad streak in the league with only 3 points on 15 which each went to 3 goals or more. The cup matches are always something different for 2nd league teams, especially at home which makes me lean toward Lommel + the handicap. I'm also leaning toward the over in corners as 3 out of5 for Lommel went over while Zulte in their previous matches had 14 and 15 corners. No Pre-Game Bets

Tessenderlo vs Oostende

Oostende with their new coach who plays a pressing style will leave some key players home in Top striker Hornby, Capon, and D’Haese while other players also still are not available. They play against Tessenderlo who is a 1st amateur team where they are in 5th place. No Pre-Game Bets

Cappellen vs Union

Union has had a busy schedule and are playing an important match over the weekend away against Standard; last time they did some rotation they still looked quite strong. Cappellen is a team from 2nd Amateur league and should be no match which is also indicated by the handicap set at -3.5 for union away. it's just hard to do anything with these lines but oppose them while the risk is always there that the gap is just too big even for these lines. Lokeren vs Mechelen

Mechelen has done great under their new coach playing with a lot of drive. Lokeren is a team from 2nd amateur but they still have their name as a former 1st division team. Mechelen has put a target on the cup and they should not underestimate this match and this could become a classic cup match with potentially plenty of goals. I will be keeping my eye out on the over but need some kind of confiration of higher pace first. No Pre-Game Bets

Dessel Sport vs AA Gent

So AA Gent looks to have found their form again with an excellent performance qualifying in europe followed by a home win against Club Brugge. They should be the better of Dessel Sport who play in the 1st amateur league and are only 17th there. AA Gent likely will do some rotation hoping A-Squad players won't have to come in and they are the clear away favorite with a -2.5 line. No Pre-Game Bets

Westerlo vs Racing Genk

Both teams are doing well in the 1st league with Genk in the lead and generally the best playing team while Westerlo also has been quite good now in 7th place. They both have a style to play forward to score goals. Genk at home against Westerlo in week 13 won with a 6-1 score where most of the action happened in the 1st half. there is no real reason for these teams to do any major rotation and this could very will turn into a classic cup match. I did take 0.2 units on Over 2.75 @ 1.840 as an initial bet and also 0.089 units on Racing Genk Team Total Over 1.5 @ 1.703 with an eye to take more in-game

Sint-Truiden vs Meux vs Westerlo

Stvv disappointed over the weekend despite the 1-2 win over a B-Squad of Seraing and their biggest problem remains to score goals. they now have a home match againt Meux who are only 12th in their 2nd amateur league. Stvv is safe in 10th place and there is no real reason not to take the cup seriously. Their coach is planning to give some of his older players a break like Brüls, Okazaki and Leistner. Their coach said he could rotate more if he wanted to but doesn't want to get the team in trouble. I did take an initial 0.1 unit bet on Sint-Truiden -2 @ 1.703 with an eye to increase the stake in-game. Should just be a straightforward win by at least 2 goals after 90 minutes.

Patro Eisden vs Club Brugge

So things aren't going that great in the league for Club Brugge as they haven't exactly managed to pick up their form with some player suffering from fatigue after many matches already. They do have quality on the bench not to get into any kind of trouble against patro Eisden who are a 1st amateur league 3rd in their league. I do see a good chance for the quality gap to be too big even if Club Brugge who is able not to take Yaremchuk up in their selection is resting players. I took 0.2 units on Club Brugge 1st Half -2 @ 1.810
