Pretty much the opposite happened yesterday compared to Friday with the pre-game bet losing but the live betting showing a profit, making for another break-even day. A full program on Sunday with 4 consecutive and I'm looking forward to them still absolutely loving handicapping, watching and betting them all day long trying to beat the market. Club Brugge vs Antwerp
Club Brugge right now is a team I'm not willing to oppose as they are head-and-shoulders above the competition. They did have some covid cases a while ago though and this still seems to somewhat show in their performance. Their first half against AA Gent was not all too good which they made up for by being efficient in the 2nd half winning by 0-4. In the match against Charleroi last Friday they played a good 1st half but a poor 2nd half being too comfortable ending with a 1-1 draw. Antwerp is in 2nd place which is quite flattering based on their actual performances recently who haven't stood out. They are without Seck, Mbokani & Gélin and I do expect a defensive counter-style approach for them. With the efficiency Club Brugge has been showing both on the offensive and defensive side it made me take a small initial bet on
Club Brugge -1 @ 1.865 with an eye to possibly take more if Antwerp scores first or depending on the form they are showing at the time. More time has passed so the covid side effects should have improved. Anything but a home win would be a big surprise.
Mechelen vs Oud-Heverlee Leuven
Mechelen is currently in 10th place 3 points why of OHL who are in 7th spot which makes this a direct fight for a playoff 2 spot. Mechelen played a bad boring match against Anderlecht getting away with a 1-1 after a penalty out of nowhere. The match before they played ok against Oostende and deserved to score despite losing 2-0. They are a team capable of having really open fun matches but also really boring non-events. OHL played a fun match against Eupen where goals on both side came pretty easy resulting in a correct 3-3 score. It's not a coincidence that Mechelen didn't manage to win in their last 3 matches as they were without Van Damma (They still are). Mechelen tends to start their home matches with a lot of enthusiasm and rank really high on the 1H table. My lean is on OHL +0.5 @ 2.08 but I'm holding off the boat for now and will wait to see what the match brings early on. It has the potential to be an open free-scoring matches but this is by no means a guarantee and the odds are also set toward it.
No Pre-Game Bets
Anderlecht vs Zulte-Waregem
Zulte-Waregem had a good run but were put with their feet back on the ground against Club Brugge losing 3-0 in a match where they didn't play all too good. This doesn't take away from the solid performances they put up in the matches before though. Anderlecht has been a painful team to watch as they are able to keep things closed in their defense which comes at the cost of their offense which in the first place doesn't have all too much quality. This often results in really dull matches where no risk is taken whatsoever. They are now 3 points behind on a playoff 1 Spot (which is a small miracle) with 4 matches to be played. There has been a rather big sudden move on Anderlecht going from 2.05 to 1.74 on the -1 line which I never like to oppose. Zulte playing a bad match losing 3-0 to Club Brugge might be an explanation for the move. I haven't see anything from Anderlecht for them to justify being such a big favorite in a match against Zulte-Waregem who have shown good things in recent months. I do expect a match where Zulte plays without any stress with nothing to lose while Anderlecht can't afford to drop points for the 20th time this season. I split a medium-sized stake between

KAA Gent vs Cercle Brugge
AA Gent is only in 12th spot fighting for playoff 2 with 3 points behind while Cercle is in the relegation zone 1 point behind on a safe spot. The visitors have been playing extremely defensive and I expect nothing less today. This match reminds of AA Gent vs Moeskroen where the relegation team layed back and AA Gent wasn't really able to create much until Vadis came in resulting in a 3-0. AA Gent is close to complete today with Odidja in the team and Yaremchuk / Tissoudali in the offense. AA Gent should have more quality in the team and breaking the lock will be the hardest hurdle to overcome. The odds made it worth taking a tiny gamble on
AA Gent -1.25 @ 2.91 for me still leaving me a lot of room to take more in-game assuming Cercle will once again park the bus. A goal from AA Gent forcing Cerlce to go in the offense might blow this match wide open. AA Gent corners -1 1H also will be an alternative I will look for (right now, only a -1.25 line is available).
