Flamengo wins and is in the semifinal of Carioca
On Wednesday (01), it was a historic day in Brazil where Flamengo broadcast its own official match live and had more than 2 million views simultaneously. It is the ninth largest live broadcast and the largest at sporting level.
The game was to be expected, Flamengo at all times including the first minutes of the first half already sought the goal with several attacks while Boa Vista tried to defend itself as much as possible. Pedro and Gerson were responsible for the 2-0 victory.
Jorge Jesus' team kept its pace despite the state championship's stoppage due to the pandemic and what we saw were great rehearsed plays and goalkeeper Diego Alves hardly saw the color of the ball. The Boa Vista team had only one purpose, to try to stay on the defense by avoiding scoring the entire game.
But his strategy did not last long and Pedro opened the scoring for the rubro-negro team and at 35 in the second stage, Gerson in a long shot scored a beautiful goal. With the entries of Michael and Vitinho, the team maintained its form and the attacks were constant and it looked like an attacking team against defense. But the match ended with only two goals for Flamengo, but it could be four or five without scares.
The next challenge for Mengão will be on Sunday 5th in the semifinal of Carioca against Volta Redonda in Maracanã at 16:00 GMT.
Na quarta-feira (01), foi um dia histórica no Brasil onde o Flamengo transmitiu sua própria partida oficial ao vivo e teve mais de 2 milhões de visualização simultaneamente. É a nona maior transmissão ao vivo e a maior a nível esportivo.
O jogo já era de se esperar, O Flamengo a todo tempo inclusive nos primeiros minutos do primeiro tempo já buscava o gol com vários ataques enquanto o Boa Vista tentava se defender quanto pode. Pedro e Gerson foram os responsáveis pela vitória por 2 a 0.
O time de Jorge Jesus manteve seu ritmo apesar da paralização do Campeonato Estadual devido a pandemia e o que vimos foram ótimas jogadas ensaiadas e o goleiro Diego Alves praticamente nem viu a cor da bola. O time do Boa Vista só tinha uma finalidade, a de tentar se manter na defesa evitando tomar gol no jogo todo.
Só que sua estratégia não durou muito e Pedro abriu o placar para o time rubro-negro e aos 35 da segunda etapa, Gerson num chute de longe fez um belíssimo gol. Com as entradas de Michael e Vitinho, o time manteve sua forma e os ataques foram constantes e parecia um time de ataque contra defesa. Mas a partida terminou com apenas dois gols para o Flamengo, mas que poderia ser quatro ou cinco sem sustos.
O próximo desafio para o Mengão será no domingo dia 05 na semifinal do Carioca contra o Volta Redonda no Maracanã às 16:00 horário de Brasília.
