IND vs AUS: Australia team announced for Test series against India, Mumbai Indians player got place

India vs Australia Test Series 2020-21: Australia on Thursday announced a 17-man squad for the four-Test series against India. The team includes youngsters Will Pukowski and Cameron Green. Pokowski and Green have been named in the squad thanks to their superb performances in the Sheffield Shield.

Sean Abbott, Mitchell Swepson and Michael Naser are the three other players who could get a Test debut in this series. Fast bowler Pat Cummins will play the role of vice-captain of the team.

Sean Abbott and Michael Naser have been added to the team as backups of pacers Mitchell Starc, Josh Hazlewood, Pat Cummins and James Pattinson. In the current season of Sheffield Shield, both have also scored the first century of their first class career. Pattinson was part of the recent IPL winning Mumbai Indians team and performed brilliantly.

Apart from this, the 19-member Australia A team has also been selected for two practice matches against India. Which includes 9 players from the Test team including captain Tim Paine.

The Test series between India and Australia will begin at the Adelaide Oval from 17 December. The first test will be day-night. After this, the second Test will be held at Melbourne Cricket Stadium from 26 December, the third Test at Sydney Cricket Ground from 7 January and the fourth and final Test from Brisbane from 15 January.
