I noticed this today as tickets are being sold for the Bahrain Grand Prix which takes place in a fortnight's time. Spectators are welcome as long as they can produce a certificate stating they have been vaccinated twice more than two weeks ago or have recovered from Covid 19 two weeks ago.

Shows how ignorant people really are and thought it was an April fools type joke but no they are serious.
So this is kind of misleading as according to their criteria one would have to be cleared today after having Covid at the latest to be eligible or had the second vaccine today.
How many people will be attending then is my question and one I will be tuning in to see how many "lucky" individuals got the timing right. I suppose there could be a few, but I think all of us that have dodged it have done rather well and would rather not have a green badge.
Being in Bahrain and a wealthy country I suppose many could afford to have two vaccinations already even if they flew to another country. I know someone from South Africa who flew to Geneva recently to get vaccinated using their private jet so this stuff does happen. For us normal folk all it means is if you got your timings right on when you contacted the virus as yesterday was your last day if you haven't had Covid yet.
What gets me though is I know of peopl we who contracted Covid in the first wave and died in the second wave so just because you have had Covid doesn't mean you are ok. I actually see those people as weaker and more likely to struggle the second time around if unlucky enough to get it again. Vaccines are also no guarantee and don't make you immune either.
The organisers I think are trying to push the rules to allow spectators in for financial reasons only and their scientific reasoning makes no sense. Can't people just use common sense and just be careful.
The track organisers do say that there will be screening at the entrances and vending machines will be supplied with sanitizer stations. How thoughtful of them and another reason why we are going to go into a third wave and possibly many more as people are missing common sense and sending wrong messages that it is all ok now. I can see Easter being a huge F UP and another setback yet again as we haven't even had 1 vaccine yet let alone 2.
