OCD Sportstalk Incubation Curation Update

Well what a difference one week can make as everything on Hive is positive news and good vibes including our very own Sportstalk. I am happy to say another 24 new users decided to join our tribe pushing the number up to a staggering high of 1064. Surely over 1100 by month end is achievable now and well on our way to 2000 before the end of the year. Amazing what price movement can do to the morale of an entire community and hopefully expect some mass onboarding soon.

This week it is not the new users arriving that only stood out, but engagement is also up and now down to 1,199 actions when it was touching 1500 earlier in the week. Many of you may not have been looking at the figures to closely but this is nearly triple to where we have been over the last few months. This is really awesome as an engaged, busy community draws attention luring others in. This is human nature to be inquisitive to see what is suddenly happening and this is all good news.

Over the last week there have been 19 posts submitted for OCD curation and hoping for a few more tonight to get us over the 21 mark of a 3 per day average. I am hoping we can get to 5 per day at some point and just need decent posts to curate so please take the time and help yourselves to grow. I can't spell it out any simpler than that as we are crying out for more sports content.

For those of you that are new we are looking to curate sporting articles that are written using your own words with some added personal insight. A piece of you if you like that voices your own thoughts giving the article some depth and personality. I like to see some effort so not a 2 minute read and try for at least as a minimum 450 words or more with correctly sourced images with links. Honestly this is not too difficult and can be good fun especially when you are rewarded.

I will be along with others who have stake be upvoting comments again this week as engagement is the key to growing our user base. I know @uyobong is pushing the 20 comments per day initiative so we need to keep at it as this is just the basics of being part of a community.

I need some fresh ideas for sporting topics for a themed week again like we have done in the past so if any have some smart ideas please reply in the comments. We have done #sportingmemories and #sportinginjuries already which helped some of us have a guide for a post which is not always that easy.

Lets have another cracker of a week and see if we can push the number of curated posts up along with the engagement and keep the number of actions above 1500.
