RE: Scouting In Football; A Failed Commercialised Venture In Most Football Clubs?

You are viewing a single comment's thread:

The top club these days for players is RBS Leipzig as they have an outstanding academy. Most clubs are selling clubs and there are only a few that are buying clubs. It is no surprise why players are over valued as it has been show that there is so much dirty money in football and helps with the laundering of money. The Chinese Government has banned certain sales from happening as they are not buying clubs for business reasons. Did you see how many players Chelsea bought in the last transfer window? They are the busiest club in the Premiership and most likely Europe as well.

Yeah RB Leipzig has an outstanding academy, at one time Southampton too as well as Ajax and Athletico Madrid but then money like you say corrupts a lot and that's why we have clubs these days inflating the transfer fee of these players. The Chinese themselves spends so much and players started seeing it as a retirement home. In my own opinion I believe scouting is no more effective as it used to be and that's why we have many wrong players in the wrong teams.
Yeah Chelsea were certainly the busiest. Had to make up for those transfer ban

Chelsea had 27 transfers in this window which shows they are wheeling and dealing in players which most likely will never play for Chelsea's first team. They buy them and loan them out hoping that some become better to either keep or sell on.

Hahaha that's outrightly true, in most cases I believe football has rather become more of a business venture rather than a sport anyway and that's why commercialisation is what seems to matter more and Chelsea inclusive.
