Saturday Ends Hekkie's 2 Year Ring Absence

Hekkie Budler fights on Saturday night at Gracelands Casino and it is not being shown anywhere besides a delayed broadcast on the local television network. This is his first fight after nearly two years in the wilderness due to the lockdown.

I can understand the reluctance of the bigger channels to broadcast this event as his is the main bill and it is only over 6 rounds. This I can only see as being a warm up fight with him slowly building back into things and he needs to put his opponent away quickly. This fight cannot be taken lightly as this performance needs to be great as everything is on the line at his age.

Like anything in life you are as only as good as your last fight and he needs to step on the gas now if he is going to be challenging for a title this year. The good thing is he has done this all before so knows exactly what it takes to get to the top.

He doesn't have distractions of money and all the nonsense that goes with world champions and is really down to earth. His opponent is Hamidu Kwata from Tanzania and have no clue how good he is.

Doesn't matter if you have no clue about your opponent ,you just have to put him away.

Hekkie is ranked number 2 by the WBC so he needs to put this guy away quickly so he can move on to an eliminator next. We are in March and he could still be in line for a title fight by December if things go to plan. Knowing what he has done ion the past he has the pedigree to win the world title again as he is now with a new gym and has a new trainer in Colin Nathan.

I will see if I can get a stream of the fight to upload after the fight itself. Hekkie said there would be a link.

WHO THE OPPONENT IS MATTERS LESS IF YOU ONLY CARE FOR THE GLORY. ALSO, THIS SEEMS TO BE A LOCAL BOXING MATCH AS I AM NOT FAMILIAR WITH ANY NAMES OR PICTURES POSTED.

No Hekkie's fight is not local as there is no one worth his while. He wins this fight and he is one fight away from the WBC title. He is ranked number 2 and just is not that well known as he is straw weight and not heavier. He is a double ex world champion already.
