Sporting memories "my first majors trophy "

I sincerely appreciate the sport talk community for making me bring back youthful sporting memories its so amazing.

While i was going through my photo book i stumble on some of the pictures i took while in active sport competition at my youthful age, one of which is when i was participating in the OFFOT UKWA UNITY CUP for the second time. This is a football competition that involves all the sixteen villages in our clan and it is always the game for the big boys, but because of my performance when it comes to football i was invited to the team and it was a wonderful experiences

That is me in action in 2002 December at the semi finals of the competition at Anua Obio praimary school , my God i was so amazing, you needed to see my performance at that time, this particular runs earn us our second goal at that particular match.

I started developing serious passion for sport while still very young that's from my primary school days, most especially I love track event and playing football. I started involving myself in football competition when I was in my secondary school, i remember i had played in shell cup competition severally, this is a competition that shell company used to organize for secondary schools in Nigeria, in these particular competition i have been a part of the team that won the competition once for my school.

I actually did so well then that my village took noticed and called me in to our village football team. I remember in 2001 when I started representing my village in one of the biggest football competition in our clan, which we were eliminated at the semi final of the competition, that particular year i happen be top scorer with five goals to my name and it was a big achievement for me, you know that feeling when the paramount ruler, the clan head and all the village heads even with some top government officials that are within the clan are standing to shook my hand and give me the award of the top scorer of the competition this particular memory was so amazing.

In 2002 we became the winner of the biggest football competition in our clan popularly known as the OFFOT
UNITY CUP, this year's finals of the competition ended us on penalty shot out, i also made history as i was selected to take the final penalty, believe me i was so scared when our opponent lost their last kit, the whole crowd were cheering shouting and i was standing there all alone but to the glory of God i made the day.

This was my first trophy in major competition and so many gift was was given to me by my Uncles, Father and other villagers for doing so well as the youngest in that team that year, i have four trouser cut that day, shoes and two set of exercise book, i was the talk of the whole clan, believe me i happen to be the village best player that year.
