Inspired By Christian Eriksen And Highlights Of Euro 2020 so far

As a result of the Covid-19 Pandemic the Euro 2020 was postponed to year 2021. But I can boldly say that the Euro 2020 football competition has lived up to my expectations. The highs and lows, the excitements, the disappointments and all of it I have enjoyed.
I have watched top teams/favourites loosing to underdogs, big profile players showing up in the big stages and showing the stuff they are made of while other big name players performing below per and less known players coming up to prove a point.

I for one am grateful for the fact that the Euro 2020 didn't record the death of Christian Eriksen a Danish football player, he plies his trade with Inter Milan the club that won the Italian league in the just concluded season.

In Denmark's opening match against Finland, Eriksen had a cardiac arrest on the pitch but for the quick response from his team mates, the referee and the medic, he would have lost his life. This particular event has since galvanised and spur the Danish team to the quarter final.

Inspired also by this I tried out my hands on drawing Christian Eriksen, though it's a rush work. I used a HB pencil and a A4 paper to accomplish this. Below are the different stages of the development of the picture.

So far in the competition Christian Ronaldo holds the record for the highest goal scored in the competition (5 goals) along other record he broke in the course of the competition. The once ostracized Karim Benzema was recalled into the French team after so many years, Kylian Mpape didn't score a goal in the competition, amazing saves from goal keepers, some clear misses, penalties and some great incredible goals has been the highlights of the competition so far.

This competition has been unpredictable and I can't for sure predict who the winner of the competition will be especially with yesterday's dramatic penalty shootout between Switzerland and Spain. But my best guess will be England or Italy to win the competition. Which team do you think will win the competition?
