Today I launch another sportstalksocial post, this time focused on a series of shots taken in the last weeks. As the previous posts, the main theme is the holding of a cycling race, in this specific case reserved to the amateur categories. The competition took place in the last weeks, on a slightly wavy route, all of which took place along the boundaries of the local industrial zone - along a circuit to be repeated several times -.
Oggi lancio un altro post targato sportstalksocial, questa volta incentrato su una serie di scatti fatti nelle ultime settimane. Come per i post precedenti, il tema principale è lo svolgimento di una gara ciclistica, in questo caso specifico riservata alle categorie amatoriali. La competizione si è tenuta circa un mese fa, su un tracciato leggermente ondulato posizionato lungo i confini della zona industriale locale - costituito da un circuito che andava ripetuto più volte -.

The route was one of the usuals used by the organization. In this case, the competition was the last one of the road cycling season of the city where I live in. I heard about other competitions, but reserved to mountain bike or off-road world.
Il percorso era uno dei soliti utilizzati dall'organizzazione. Nel caso specifico, la competizione era l'ultima delle gare ciclistiche su strada che si svolgono nella città in cui vivo. Ho sentito di altre competizioni, ma riservate prettamente a mountain bike o al mondo fuori strada.
As I usually do, I took my mountain bike and left home. After a few kilometers, I stopped and took some photos. Each repetition of the circuit, I changed the place and took shots from different views.
Come al solito, ho preso la bici e sono partito da casa. Dopo pochissimi chilometri mi sono fermato a bordo strada e ho scattato qualche foto. Ogni volta che i corridori effettuavano un giro del tracciato, io cambiavo zona e scattavo qualche foto da angolazioni differenti.
Also this time I retook my old smartphone, considering that it has a better yield on images taken in motion. Some of them are a little bit blurred and altered on the outer parts, but I think they are acceptable for our scopes.
Anche in questo caso ho rispolverato il vecchio smartphone, considerato che ha una resa migliore su immagini in movimento. Alcune sono un poco mosse o deformate ma per i nostri scopi penso che siano più che sufficienti.
This time I decided to give a monochrome effect, replacing the photo in black and white with high lights and a few dark parts. I use different types of curve levels to enhance each image. You can see the result in the photos below.
Questa volta ho deciso di dare un effetto monocromatico, sostituendo le immagini con corrispettivi in bianco e nero dotate di luci intense e poche parti scure. Ho usato tipi differenti di livelli curve per valorizzare ogni immagine. Potete vedere il risultato nelle foto che seguono.

I think what you are doing is great as it keeps you involved in a sport that you obviously love and also a hobby with photography.
