Italy dominates over the Netherlands for 80 minutes and wins with a modest 0-1

Today's best match was Italy vs the Netherlands. Italy's squad had some older players like Chiellini, Bonucci, and Immobile among others. The Netherlands squad was a bit younger but they didn't have that many opportunities to score a goal and the ones they did ended with flaky shots.

Italy was better and they deserved to win, the only time the Netherlands dominated was in the final 10 minutes. In the first 80 minutes, Italy was much better and they even deserved to score more than 1 goal. Nevertheless, I don't think this team can keep a high competitive level because a lot of its players are very old.

Bonucci is 33 years old, Chiellini is 36 years old and he is the main defense! Immobile is just 30yo so Italy certainly has a good striker for the next European Championship and World Cup. The rest of the players don't have that much experience despite the majority not being very young, and with experience I mean previous victories in important tournaments.

Italy is better than the Netherlands, that's for sure, but I don't think they would be able to beat Spain or France in a future match. A new generation of talented Italian players hasn't arrived yet, which is the opposite of what is happening with Spain and especially with France.

Tomorrow I plan to watch France's match vs Croatia, since Portugal scored 4 goals against this team I am expecting France to score at least the same number of goals :]
