Hola gente bonita, hoy quiero hablar de una deportista que me dejó con la boca abierta en muchas oportunidades, disfruto mucho ver sus partidos y hace poco hubo una noticia bastante controversial sobre ella acompáñenme :D.

Naomi Osaka es una tenista de nacionalidad japonesa que, hoy es día, es la tenista mujer mejor pagada, y con muy buenas razones, ya que a su temprana edad logrado participar y ganar torneos de tenis que a otras tenistas le tomo mucho más tiempo. En particular a mí no me había llamado la atención ninguna tenista femenina hasta que llegó ella, pues a partir de que la vi y vi como ganaba su primera Grand Slam quise ver que más podía hacer, y pues… fue ganar otros torneos de manera muy épica. Destaca por su edad y su nacionalidad, pues ella es la primera asiática en ocupar la primera posición en la lista de la “Asociación del Tenis femenino”.
Naomi Osaka is a Japanese tennis player who, today, is the highest paid female tennis player, and with very good reasons, since at her young age she managed to participate and win tennis tournaments that took other tennis players much longer. In particular, I had not been attracted to any female tennis player until she arrived, since I saw her and saw how she won her first Grand Slam, I wanted to see what else she could do, and well... she won other tournaments in a very epic way. She stands out for her age and her nationality, as she is the first Asian to occupy the first position in the list of the "Women's Tennis Association".
Yo no destacaré mucho este punto de la nacionalidad porque no debería ser importante, lo debería ser es su edad, pues su debut como tenista que llama la atención fue a los 16 años cuando derrotó a la excampeona del Abierto de Estados Unidos, Samantha Stour, en el torneo Stanford de 2014, dos años más tarde logró ingresar a la lista de las 50 tenistas del mundo y luego el más importante y controversial, 2018 su primera victoria en el Gran Slam contra Serena Williams.

Yo ya había hablado de este partido en un post anterior, di mi punto de vista de lo que pasó y una reflexión importante, si quieren leerlo aquí se los dejo aquí ya que hablé un poco del trabajo de Naomi y algunos de sus logros, pasaré a contar la controversia actual en la que ella fue nombrada, pues hace unas semanas ella comunicó a la organización del Roland Garro que no iba a presentare a las ruedas de prensa que tiene que asistir por el torneo ¿Por qué? Por su salud mental.
I had already talked about this match in a previous post, I gave my point of view of what happened and an important reflection, if you want to read it here I leave it here since I talked a little of Naomi's work and some of her achievements, I will now tell the current controversy in which she was named, because a few weeks ago she told the Roland Garro organization that she was not going to attend the press conferences that she has to attend for the tournament Why? For her mental health.
Como esto impresionó a varios la misma organización Roland Garros amonestó a la deportista por no ir a la primera rueda de prensa pero no se detuvieron allí, como Osaka seguía diciendo que no se iba a presentar, que está trabajando en su salud mental que se vio afectada desde el 2018, la organización dio un comunicado donde le avisaban que si se negaba a presentarse a sus ruedas de prensa, podría ser expulsada y no volver a participar en los cuatro grandes (los torneos más grandes de tenis), es decir, que la dejaban si carrera si no iba.
As this shocked several the same Roland Garros organization reprimanded the athlete for not going to the first press conference but they did not stop there, as Osaka kept saying that she was not going to show up, that she is working on her mental health which was affected since 2018, the organization gave a statement where they warned her that if she refused to show up for her press conferences, she could be expelled and not participate again in the big four (the biggest tournaments in tennis), that is, that they would leave her if she did not go.
Pues eso último solo tuvo como respuesta que Naomi declarara su retiro del Abierto de Francia, algo devastador para fans como yo porque no la veríamos competir o como finalizaba su competencia allí y ahora con miedo de que tal vez no la veamos más. Esta noticia al llegar hizo que muchos deportistas salieran a la luz a apoyarla y se cuestionara mucho más la necesidad del circo de las ruedas de prensa en el deporte.
The only response to the latter was that Naomi declared her withdrawal from the French Open, something devastating for fans like me because we would not see her compete or how her competition there ended and now with fear that we may not see her again. This news upon arrival caused many athletes to come out in support of her and questioned much more the need for the circus of press conferences in sports.
Hubo respuestas de todo tipo, pues por ejemplo Toni Nadal, mentor de Rafael Nadal, dijo algo muy interesante que es: “Intentar cambiar las cosas, aunque fuera por el bien mental propio, tenía un precio”, haciéndonos reflexionar que no dice estar o no de acuerdo con ella, sino que es normal que hacer ese tipo de cambio le iba a costar. Osaka al retirarse le llegó mucho apoyo de sus propios patrocinadores pues, aunque no estuviera en el torneo Frances la apoyaron aplaudiéndola por esa decisión. Toda esta situación que no se si significara el fin de Naomi Osaka en torneos grandes de Tenis fue un llamado de atención para muchos deportistas pues, aunque algunos lo vean como una exageración, todos somos diferentes y si de verdad queremos crecer como deportistas o en lo que nos especialicemos, tenemos que buscar nuestro bienestar completo, no solo físico, psicológico también.
There were responses of all kinds, for example Toni Nadal, Rafael Nadal's mentor, said something very interesting which is: "Trying to change things, even if it was for your own mental good, had a price", making us reflect that he does not say whether or not to agree with her, but that it is normal that making that kind of change was going to cost her. When Osaka retired, she received a lot of support from her own sponsors because, even though she was not in the Frances tournament, they supported her and applauded her for her decision. This whole situation that I do not know if it meant the end of Naomi Osaka in major tennis tournaments was a wake-up call for many athletes because, although some see it as an exaggeration, we are all different and if we really want to grow as athletes or what we specialize in, we must seek our full welfare, not only physical, psychological as well.
Y bueno eso sería todo por hoy, y la reflexión, cada quien tiene una mentalidad y cuerpo diferente y por ello existen miles de maneras de mejorar una actitud o buscar el bienestar psicológico terminaré este post con una frase que dijo uno de sus patrocinadores: “La decisión de Naomi Osaka nos recuerda a todos lo importante que es priorizar la salud y el bienestar personales” y estoy muy de acuerdo con esta frase, porque si no tenemos bienestar, solo lograremos rompernos y explotar de mala manera algún día.

Eyy que bueno es verla por acá, siempre amo como diseña cada post. Osaka es una de las tenistas más prometedoras para dominar el deporte en los proximos años, es joven y tiene un gran talento, sin dudas será emocionante seguir viendola jugar.
