The Catalan newspaper Mundo Deportivo reported today, Wednesday, that Neymar will renew his contract until 2026, to remain leader of the Saint Germain project, pending the decision of his colleague Kylian Mbappe, whose contract expires in the summer of 2022, and his fate has not yet been decided.

The newspaper pointed out that Neymar's renewal file has been "almost settled" for several months, as he is going through the best periods of his football career, however, the arrival of his friend and former Barcelona colleague, Lionel Messi, will speed up the signing of his new contract.

Neymar joined Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2017 in exchange for payment of the penalty clause in his contract with Barcelona, ​​which amounted to 222 million euros.

Barcelona tried to regain Neymar, in the summer of 2019, but the Parisian club insisted on his survival, preventing the deal from being completed.
