David Beckham will coach in new reality show on Disney+

Soccer legend David Beckham will launch his own show on the streaming service Disney+, which will be called "Save Our Squad."

To film the show, Beckham will return to East London, where he began his sports career, to coach young soccer players. He will mentor a team that is struggling to stay in the league, but it's not working out. Beckham will try to make the players' dreams come true by taking them on "the journey of a lifetime."

As it should be a reality show - "Save Our Squad" will not have a predetermined plot, and the project director Sean Doyle promises to make it exciting, dramatic and inspiring - just like Beckham's own soccer career.

It is fantastic to be making Save Our Squad with Twenty Twenty and to shine a light on the kind of grassroots football that I experienced growing up and which gave me so much at the start of my life in the game. I was so fortunate to have a long and successful playing career and now to have the opportunity to give back to these communities as a mentor is incredible. Developing and nurturing young talent is so important in the game and it is great to be working with Disney+ on this project.
